While visiting the OBX, my wife had a taste for fried chicken. We found the Cookshak while conducting a Google search and figured we would give it a try. The chicken was moist and Juicy inside but crunchy on the exterior. The seasoning on the coating was extremely tasty. I have eaten many pieces of fried chicken in my lifetime, but this was definitely one of the best pieces that I have ever consumed. I enjoyed the chicken so much that we purchased a "whole bird" to take back home with us. We will definitely return when we visit the OBX again.

Another review mentioned that chicken fingers are large. They definitely are the largest I've ever seen. They come in qty's of 5,10, or 20. Save some money and figure 2 pcs max per adult. Thats all both me & wife could eat (6 left over). Good flavor & moist.

The fried chicken was really good & juicy! It was really crowded so I felt bad for the two employees having to cater to everyone, but they did a wonderful job! The coleslaw was bland, which was disappointing.

Excellent real southern fried chicken. We called in our order, and it was hot and ready at the time stated. The breading was well seasoned, and all the pieces were juicy and meaty. We will definitely be getting t this chicken again.

Great tasting bone-in fried chicken! It has a little bit of spiciness to it and it is good! It would be better if they offered different flavors such as: spicy and non-spicy chickens. My kids would try the non-spicy ones for sure. Overall, it's good fried chicken!

I had the 1/2 chicken delivery. Being free was nice, but because of that, they don't offer delivery at lunch-time. Pity. Would be great if they did. I was waiting out a T-storm in a hotel room, as I do not like motorcycling in heavy rains. So I skipped lunch, and had dinner instead. Well spiced coating, just a little heavy on the salt, but still exceptionally tasty. Perfectly cook chicken with a crunch to the coating, and a slight kick. Also had the mac & cheese, which was exceptionally good too! They use a White (Vermont?) Cheddar, which is very creamy and smooth, with large mac. They offer both Coke and Pepsi products, so no cola wars here... Delivery starts at 5PM. I'd order again.
