“This is the best Chinese food around. You have got to try the crab ragoon. The chicken and broccoli or sesame chicken are also really good for a meal. I like to get lomein instead of fried rice. The lady that rings me up is really nice and if u try them I guarantee you’ll come back“

I’m from out of town and it was the best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time. Dishes were filled with tons of fresh veg (nothing frozen or pre-packaged), fried rice was fluffy and packed with big tender chunks of pork. Egg rolls and rangoon were crispy and well-filled. The jalapeño chicken was a standout dish to me, thick slabs of crispy chicken thigh in a savory and peppery sauce. I was seriously impressed. Definitely best Chinese I’ve had in New Bern.“

“Maybe a bit of misunderstanding in the beginning but I got the beef and broccoli with crab Rangoon’s. The pork fried rice is the best I’ve had . And as far as the beef and broccoli most places give you 3-4 pieces of broccoli with super sweet sauce but not this place . The sauce is perfect and plenty of broccoli. Very good , thank you“

“I order from Golden China at least once a month if not more, and I gotta say it’s one of the best Chinese food places I have ever been to. The people who own/operate it are amazing and so nice, while also straight to the point. The store itself isn’t in a bad shape, but I’ve never seen more than 1-2 sets of people eating in there at once, yet more than that waiting for takeout.

“My wife and I love this place! They are the only ones we’ve found in town willing to make her Singapore Mei Fun with veggies and fried tofu. Portions are great, flavors are just what I’m used to, and the owner Jean is very nice! I’ve never tried the buffet but we order once every week or so. See photos for what we get!“

“I like to get Cub Meal, but too often, something from the Meal is missing. One time the juice box was missing. Another time, the apple crisps. And one time, both of those were missing. I really don't like coming back to the restaurant after I have already driven off.“
