Cork's our absolute favorite spot to eat in New Bern. Its cozy brick walls, chill atmosphere, and that warm glow just scream "relax with a glass." Food? Straight fire. Service? On point. 5 stars, no question!!!

Let’s start with: Cork is a great addition to New Bern’s food scene. I’m so glad you’re here. But now for the attention getter: I didn’t want another day to pass without me highlighting the amazing cheesesteak I enjoyed last weekend. I’ve been to Philly and enjoyed a cheesesteak or two in my time. Even tried a few in NYC - But hands down, Cork takes the crown for the best cheesesteak I’ve tasted, ever. I’m now trying to figure out when I can make it in to enjoy another. Other highlights for me are the charcuterie, pastas, and libations. Yum. Thanks so much again Cork and see you soon.

Hands down one of the best finds, great food and an excellent selection as well as off menu items to order. The staff were very kind, and shoutout to brook for the amazing service. I will definitely be recommending this place to others.

Mimosa needed more real Orange Juice; the 2 at our table were clear -- hence pure champagne. Way too strong for a brunch, in my opinion. Food was delicious 😋!

My sister and I stopped by for dinner after playing trivia at The Brown Pelican. We sat at the bar. The service was very good, the wine was good, the jalapeno popper appetizer was good. I had veal piccata and it was practically inedible. The veal was so tough I was sawing through it with my knife. Some bites were so chewy I actually discreetly spit them out. I ate about half and realized this meal was not bringing me joy so I stopped. The server asked how it was and I honestly told her it was tough and awful. She said she was sorry but didn’t offer any solution. We shared chocolate cake which tasted old and dry. We both thought it needed something like whipped cream or ice cream to give it some moisture.
I had a taste of my sister’s shrimp scampi and it was good.
I hesitate to return. I spent $70 + tip on an awful meal. I wish the server had offered to replace my meal. I’ve had the burgers there and enjoyed them. But I left unsatisfied.

We joined friends for dinner last night at Cork. We ordered and enjoyed the crabcakes on maque choux, coconut shrimp, veal saltimbocca, and lamb chops and shared an order of their terrific truffle fries with aioli. We also enjoyed two of Cork's wine offerings, including a nice Cork-labeled red and a bottle of Sauv Blanc. Both bottles were great accompaniments for our meals. Service by Eduardo was charming, attentive, and efficient without being intrusive. He is a very personable and engaging waiter. Regrettably we were too full to enjoy dessert...next time.

While there, our friends were greeted by friends of theirs. Encountering friends and neighbors at Cork is another source of its charm. Cork is more than just a great place to eat. It is an inviting neighborhood gathering place.

We really treasure this gem in New Bern. It sets a standard for excellence and is an enormous asset to the New Bern culinary scene. If you haven't tried it yet, you are missing something special.

Celebrated a birthday dinner with a friend this evening. I had the Jamaican Jerk Salmon which was cooked perfectly and had just the perfect amount of heat. My friend had the penne and said it was on point!
