This is a really cute cafe with cleverly name coffee options and a nice menu. I only popped in for a pick-me-up for the road and a bathroom break. They have gluten free baked goods and I loved their mugs so I got one as a souvenir.
As for service, somehow my 3 silver bracelets feel out of my pocket. When I called to check if they could have possibly fallen out in the cafe, they had two of them and mailed them to me free of charge.
They were so kind about it. I'd made all of the bracelets, so it was more sentimental value than anything else.
Definitely check this place out. It's cozy and obviously had a very caring, observant, and honest staff. 🥰✨️❤️

I will preface this by saying that more than 50% of North Carolina residents use iPhones or Apple products so when I looked up crema brew and they were indicated as pet friendly on Apple Maps, I didn’t expect it to be a problem to walk in with my Australian Shepherd to order a coffee to go and two cookies. Not to mention when I brought this up, the boy running the cash register said it’s weird that I saw that, as if I were lying. Furthermore, a majority of downtown establishments are very pro pet, so I can imagine this isn’t an uncommon occurrence. I would have never shown up to with my dog had it not been advertised otherwise. Asking if he’s a service dog and making spectacles out of nothing, along with the passive aggressiveness of the whole situation put a bad taste in my mouth and now I’ll be getting me kitchen sink cookies elsewhere, what a shame.
Driving by New Bern we decided to stop by for a coffee and reviews showed Crema as highly rated. I couldn't have been more disappointed in the espresso - it was pretty much undrinkable. The 'espresso' was a disgusting watery mix. Maybe we caught them on a bad day. The shop itself and atmosphere was great though, they just need to improve or get consistent with their coffee.

Place is super cute - baked goods looked delicious staff was great but the coffee is not that good - I got a latte (they don’t have whole milk) it was on the low end of just ok to drink. .My friend got a double espresso which was undrinkable. It was actually disgusting . I’d go back to try the baked goods but would not go back for coffee or perhaps I might try an iced drink but not what I ordered.

Crema Brew is a lovely coffee shop in New Bern with a wonderful atmosphere and delicious coffee, pastries, and homemade bread. The owners and staff are also the nicest, most welcoming people!
This is MY FAVORITE COFFEE SHOP out of anywhere I've been, hands down.
It beats the corporate feel of Starbucks, Dunkin, etc. The coffee is really good and doesn't need all of the whipped cream, sprinkles, etc. that other places have. The baked goodies are prepared here and the bagels are purchased from another local business.
The owners make environmentally friendly options available as far as straws, recycling, etc. and are really nice, caring people - they have a fund that customers can donate to so that those less fortunate can get a free cup and make humanitarian trips overseas. There is a Blessing Box outside.
The shop is wonderfully decorated - many of the items were created by the owners. I also like the diversity of the clientele, from the less fortunate to stay-at-home-moms to business people and retirees.
It is just a really great place, a place much needed in New Bern.

My new happy place ❤️
I am usually always going to Starbucks and have been for many years. Lately, they've disappointed me. I found this place and I will NEVER go back to SB. No matter who makes my drink, it is always consistent. They are very kind and my son loves coming for the chocolate coins. The everything bagel sandwiches are also delish. It's kinda small inside, but there is plenty of seating inside and out and the vibe is so cute. Great prices too! I highly recommend trying this local coffee shop if you want great coffee and fresh ingredients.
