Harry’s is awesome! I’m a regular for their karaoke nights and have to say the food is amazing one of the best spots for a good eat in new Bern (I recommend the pizza and the one of a kind egg rolls my favorite is the Reuben eggroll) matched only by the amazing staff that really make you feel at home on a night out I cannot recommend this place enough now hopefully soon they’ll consider doing a weekly karaoke night other than that they’re the perfect place for a good night out

They have great drinks, great food, and a lovely atmosphere… but it was a 30 minute wait for a table, 10 minute wait for our server to ask about drinks, 30 minutes for an order of fried pickles and an hour after ordering 2 sandwiches (3 other tables of large groups came in 20-30 minutes after us around the time we got the pickles and they all got food before we did). The delay was so horrendous that two parties of four left before they got their food while we were here. Food was DELICIOUS though!!

Unacceptable and extremely unprofessional experience. Staff behavior was inappropriate and uncomfortable from start to finish. The manager crossed a line by making comments toward me and attempting to hit on me, seemingly assuming I was gay — completely out of place and unprofessional.

Unacceptable experience, Racist and extremely unprofessional waiting staff. I will never return to this place — what an embarrassment.
My fiancée (31F), who is not from the United States, was denied a beer despite presenting a valid international ID. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the staff demanded two forms of identification just to serve a beer, which felt unnecessary, excessive, and targeted. Why does someone need two forms of ID for a single drink? Manager couldn’t even come explain it.
We were made to feel uncomfortable and singled out, even though she is clearly of legal drinking age. We are traveling for a wedding in town and left her passport in the hotel as we didn’t want to loose it. We showed the digital Passport and still wasn’t accepted. If you want to be racist that’s fine don’t represent that for your company.
To make matters worse, the staff member ended the interaction by saying, “Come back if you can,” which was degrading, dismissive, and completely inappropriate. That comment alone says everything about how this place treats people. There are far better bars in New Bern — skip this Racist establishment.

Collin the manager was great to us as well as his staff. I ordered a smoked turkey for Thanksgiving from the establishment for a dinner I was hosting for USMC. I came in from out of state and Collin was my point of contact for weeks! He didn’t miss a beat and I was able to pick up my turkey with no hiccups! And it was delicious! Thanks Harry’s!

I tried to place a to go order over the phone after accessing Harry’s BBQ menu online. Well, the first item was no longer on the menu. The second and replacement item that I tried to order was only made on Saturdays. (It was Sunday.) The girl on the phone even told me that she has tried to get the manager to update the online menu but hasn’t evidently. What a crap show of a business!! Needless to say, we took our business elsewhere.
We visited Harry’s BBQ for lunch on Saturday with friends. The food had some bright spots, but the atmosphere unfortunately took away from the experience. The music—very loud, high-intensity “rage” music—was overwhelming both indoors and outside. We asked several times if it could be turned down and were eventually told the bartender controls the volume. It left us feeling unheard as customers and made conversation difficult.
Food-wise, the Fig & Pig pizza was the highlight: great crispy crust and good flavor (though a little more meat would have been nice). My husband’s grilled chicken sandwich, however, was underwhelming with no grill marks or flavor.
Service was efficient, but the overall vibe made the meal less enjoyable, and we likely won’t return unless the music/atmosphere improves.

We ordered the Porky Pimp egg roll, the Fig and Pig pizza and the pulled pork plate with fridge slaw and onion rings. The egg roll was outstanding, and the sauce to dip it in was the best thing I ate all day. The pizza was thin and crispy, and very good, but a little sweet. The fridge slaw has a nice vinegar bite and the homemade pickles and pickled red onions were great. The onion rings had a terrific breading with a bit of spice, the best onion rings I've ever had. My only real criticism is that the pulled pork is really dry. The mustard sauce and vinegar sauce helped, but it was still a little dry even with sauce. It had a decent smoke flavor though. It was a little on the pricier side but we were full when we left. The food was slow to arrive, so if you are in a hurry this might not be the best choice.
