Came to New Bern for the weekend as a family with my husband, teenager and mother. We’d read reviews and picked Morgan’s for dinner. It was amazing. We had good service (thank you, Mika), the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the wait was less than we anticipated. My salmon dinner was so good- still thinking about it. 😂 My son said one of his favorite trip memories was his hamburger and the fact that the bun wasn’t soggy. Morgan's | Tavern & Grill is one of the best places to eat in New Bern. The restaurant is always busy with a wait, so getting there early is recommended. The back patio is perfect for sipping the house IPA and is dog friendly with plenty of fans to keep cool. The food is outstanding, with fantastic specials like the clam strip po boy and a Ruben that was large, packed with meat, and cooked to perfection. The Mahi Tacos and honey croissants are also delicious. Service is friendly, competent, and great. The prices are very reasonable, making it a 5-star experience and a new favorite place.
