Char-Crusted Salmon
We do a ginger teriyaki crust on our fresh salmon and then pair it with wild rice, warm sweet orange sauce with your choice of side item. A local favorite.
Island Scallops
Six jumbo fresh scallops sautéed in our house Cajun blend on a bed of wild rice, black bean corm medley, grilled pineapple, pineapple salsa with a splash of Sweet Thai Chili.
Drunken Haddock
Our large filet of haddock dipped in our Nut Brown Ale Beer Batter, fried to a golden brown served with Tavern Twist Fries and a small side of slaw.
Tuna and Shrimp
This one is fun. Large slab of seared tuna with shrimp over black bean corn medley topped with fresh feta cheese, cilantro, cucumber wasabi , Pico and ginger honey sesame. Yes the tuna is rare (cool red center).
Santa Fe Mahi and Shrimp
Santa Fe dusted Mahi over black bean corn medley topped with grilled shrimp, lime Pico, steamed broccoli, lemon hollandaise and splashed with our sweet pepper vinaigrette.
Carolina Fried Seafood
Build your meal. All of our seafood will be slightly dusted (nothing to hide here) and fried to a golden brown. Served with your choice of side item with cocktail or tarter sauce. A coastal classic. Remember cheap seafood isn't good and good seafood isn't cheap.

Your choice. Grilled or lightly breaded and fried shrimp paired with our Tavern Twist fries and a small cup of coleslaw. Slaw cannot be substituted for another side, it's a garnish. WE ONLY USE LOCAL AND GULF SHRIMP, NO IMPORTS.

Omgeee!!! Thought I was going to visit a little small quite tavern and I arrived and it was a blast everyone is really friendly and helpful and the older crowd are more fun than anyone I've met in New Bern area... Very good bartenders and food I'll drive from Greenville just to chill here and bar hop afterwards!

Front desk told us that we would have a 45min-1hr wait to be seated, instead we only waited 13mins. When we sat down we were greeted by our waitress, she gave us outstanding service and delicious food! Would definitely go again!

Returned on next visit to New Bern. The atmosphere is great. Not a wide open restaurant but cubby hole sections for comfort and privacy. Food was great as was the service. Would definitely recommend and will be back on my next visit. All comments are still valid. There was an hour and a half wait but we ate at a high top which was fine.
