Came here for the prime rib. I'm concerned that one woman is tasked with being hostess, waitress and bartender all by herself. And she has to take payments as well. Someone screwed this up. I hope the food makes up for it. I'll post again after the meal. I know it's not this poor woman's fault!Finished the meal. Unfortunately, I was not impressed. The prime rib was tough and chewy. A hidden gem in New Bern, food always fantastic and on the water!! Michelin star chef David Owens was the chef at Swansboro’s Saltwater Grill and Mgr Jessica knocked it out of the park today! What’s not to love!! (I’m a foodie).Wheelchair accessibility: One level

Hidden gem! Had a great lunch with a beautiful view. We had the she crab soup and fried oysters. Both were excellent. Our waitress was very attentive and the new manger Jessica was very pleasant. We will be back again hopefully on a warmer day to sit on the porch overlooking the river. I would suggest putting some signage on the front of the building and live music at night would be wonderful.

I’ll preface this by stating that each order i have done has been take out. Three of those meals were all “lunch” and the food has been phenomenal. No issues, fresh, hot, nothing missing. The one time i called about dinner everything went terribly. The fish tacos were wrong, we didn’t have the sauce or slaw with it, they originally fried the fish (so i asked them to make it grilled like on the menu..), the calamari was gross(we won’t order it again as it was extremely rubbery), the steak was over cooked by a lot and missing the accompaniment.This interaction i was also told would take approx 20 minutes, i got to the restaurant after about 15 minutes. I ended up having to be inside the restaurant for 45 minutes… during this time there was ONE table of 3 people, (one other small group walked in in the last 10 minutes or so). The staff member was nice but very new (and ALONE). A lot of the issue seemed to maybe stem from a payment issue where she couldn’t put things in the system (made the comment i got food for cheaper). This issue SEEMED like it was what kept me there for an extra 40 minutes, but I’m not sure. Either way the consistency really concerned me about future orders. Also, you can’t find an accurate menu online for both services which is frustrating when ordering.

We had a large group of 9. Our group was nicely accommodated and seated comfortably. The food was very good and the service from Jessica was wonderful. Our time in the restaurant was somewhat long but we enjoyed it and had a good time.Parking: Parking was ample for many vehicles.

What a great little find with a beautiful view right on the water. The food was delicious. The best sweet potato fries we ever had. She crab soup was outstanding. Molly, our server, and Jessica, the manager went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We are very particular about the restaurants we visit, and we highly recommend this little gem.

We chose this restaurant based on location being on the waterfront. We had guests from NY it being a Wed night the place was not busy Staff were friendly and attentive All 5 of us were very happy with our meals delicious! One of our guests had strict dietary restrictions ( one being a shellfish allergy) and they made sure her food did not come in contact with any shellfish products. We have never had a bad meal here!!!
Delicious meal and great tonight at Saltwater Grill at River Bend. Crab dip and Calamari for appetizers (both yum!) then Salmon for me and Seafood puttanesca for my hubby.

Jessica the new manager is amazing. She has made sure we are well taken care of. Chef David Owens always does an amazing job every time we come in! This visit we have the salmon, which was perfect and my son had the fried shrimp and he said it was fresh and really good. We are looking forward to summer on the docks.

As a wine disputer I am extremely impressed with the wine selection. The chef is outstanding and should be globally recognized! The new manager Jessica is above and beyond. She knows what exactly she is doing and is really making this place stand out. Great hire!
