This was our first time here, and we can say that Amber is an amazing waitress. The pros and cons of our experience: overall, we would say, do not get the braised short rib entree, meat and grits were too dry, missing accompaniments mentioned in the menu. The waitress agreed because she tasted it as well. We had to return it. Do get the brussel sprouts as a side, seasoned well. Stopped here for lunch. We were quickly seated and our waitress arrived moments later. The food was cooked to perfection. Hot and delicious. I w ate at The Chelsea several times and I'm happy every time I visit. The restaurant has beautiful vintage charm as you would expect from a great restaurant in downtown New Bern. The staff were very attentive and friendly. I can't wait to go back.
This place is nestled on a nice corner of downtown New Bern and was a nice place to eat for my birthday brunch! The service was amazing but the food sadly was not as good as it looked and it looked amazing. My wife's shrimp and grits were dry and did not have a lot of taste, my sandwich was about the same however my cranberry mayo was on point. The best part of the meal was my espresso martini, which was probably the best I have had out! I would like to go back again to try...
