The family owning this restaurant are staples of the community, always delivering consistent quality as well as giving back in many ways through partnerships with churches.
The staff are always pleasant, with no staffing issues in recent history.
They really need more additional space as it's a small restaurant. Make sure you get there early!
Parking: Parking can be hard to find during breakfast and lunch hours. Get there early for good seating and parking.
Kid-friendliness: Friendly, just keep them disciplined and we'll mannered like you would anywhere.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not the most ideal, as the restaurant space is very cramped for a wheelchair.

Chicken and biscuit with gravy. Biscuit was hard and chicken overly breaded. Great taste in hashbrown casserole, but hashbrowns were under done. Husband enjoyed the Southern bowl and we got great service.

I visited this restaurant while I was traveling for a potential project in the area. If you're "female" and dining alone, you can FORGET being waited on in a timely manner or expecting your order anytime soon. My wait was almost 40 minutes for an egg and hash browns. I noticed how much attention the "local" gentlemen received upon their arrival and how quickly they got their food. I knew they were locals based on conversations from the waitresses asking if they wanted their usual. I suppose there are still those in the service industry who think women do not tip well no matter what type of service they receive. If that's the case here, I don't happen to be one of those.

Customers were waiting on sidewalk at 10:20AM on a Monday morning, yet we were seated in less than 5 minutes. The waitress was awesome & the food was excellent.

I'm not able to go there due to where I live. It's always a joy to go there. The food is great and very enjoyable. The service is continuously perfect. A must go. Downtown newton has a great place to go eat!!

Came at 10am Saturday and didn't get seated until 1030. That's fine- it was busy. Sat down and our waitress had way too many tables to keep up with. We didn't get our drinks for another 15 minutes. Took our order finally and we didn't get our food until after 11 (they closed). The other tables that came in after us had different waitresses and got drinks and food before us and left before 11. Just an overall bad experience.
