“Literally the best Chinese food in wilkes. I drive all the way across town just to pick up my food from here. I have tried every Chinese restaurant in wilkes and the Shanghai express is the best one. I can't wait till they open back up to dine in and eat again.“

“Seeking good Chinese food we went out of our way to eat here. I'm uncertain why Chinese food it's so difficult to get fresh, properly cooked veggies with authentic sauces and meats that are good. This place nailed it. Nothing fancy about the atmosphere, but there's actual tables, real Chinese people who understand the difference in sauces, and the variety of veggies and serving sizes were impressive. We enjoy our food and the fast friendly service too.“

“We just moved here from Wilmington and have been sampling all of the Chinese restaurants in the area until we find "the one" .... Although I can't speak on the service or atmosphere because my roomate picked up for us , the egg drop soup is as good as it can get. 10 out of 10. It literally couldn't be better. I haven't tried any of the other food yet because we are sick at the moment, but this soup reminded me of the place back home . My roommate got the hot and sour soup.... It was rich and full of ingredients with a nice dark color . The fried dry noodles they give you with soups were also awesome. Much wider than most places and very fresh and crisp. We will be trying the regular menu foods when we get over this cold“
