Jones seafood has been one of my favorite restaurants for many years. Went there for take out the other night and sadly, the portions were skimpy and the fried chicken was quite dry. They used to have the best fried chicken plate in the state. Not only the quality and quantity has gone down, but prices have soared. The wonderful chicken dinner went from $9.99 to $13.99. I don't mind a higher price, but, I do expect it to at least be what it was a few months back.

My family was staying at Oak Island for the week and decided to try a local place. Due to Covid a lot of places have strange hours, so we just opted to drive down the main drag and see what looked open. My husband and I both love to try restaurants that look ‘outdated’ (to some) and nostalgic. The well-established places always have the best food. My family wasn’t disappointed. We all tried something different. My husband said the deviled crab was the best he’s ever had....

Delicious hush puppies!!! We had calabash plates and everything was very good and hot! The waitress was excellent and kept our glasses full even though she was very busy. The staff wore masks and practiced social distancing.
