Place is a joke. Why is there NEVER A MANAGER HERE!!!!!??????? Who is running this place??!! I feel so sorry for the ladies that work here. Wow. Man y’all are completely letting your staff down. If this is how you’re gonna run it. Just sell it!! Friday night kitchen crash. 2 hours for food. No dishes no silverware. No ice soda machine broke. What is this place suppose to be. This is insane to watch. I’ve been in F&B for 25 years this is hard to watch. This is about the most broken I’ve ever seen a restaurant. Why just why??!! Management should fire themselves, oh but they would have to be here to fire themselves. I want to get up and help so bad. Kitchen needs a leader same in front. Why don’t they have sections. Why are yall doing this to everyone. Should be ashamed.BTW Good Friday you have no FISH!!!!!! Really!!! No mahi no catfish in Good Friday. What is going on here management is totally out of touch and vacant. Wow. No romaine lettuce for Caesar for real!!!! And I literally watched cooks quit. Bartenders not able to make a crown and coke!!!!!!!! Please fire kitchen manager and FOH manager and I’ll be back. If you only do those 2 little things. Because those 2 people are costing you everything.

Our server, Jo was great!!! Hush puppies and slaw were the best I've ever had. Only complaint was the very loud music. It's no fun to go out to eat and you cannot talk over the music. Would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for that. I recently read that loud music is the #1 complaint that people have about restaurants.

We visited while we were on our vacation 03/01/2024, it was our last night on vacation so we wanted to try somewhere new. We went in a few minutes after 5 and were the only ones there when we went in. The waitress had no other tables but took at least 5 minutes to get drinks (only 3 of us at the table and we all got soda). When she came back she proceeded to ask us if we were ready to order, we were not so we asked for a few more minutes. She proceeded to come back to our table 4 times within 5 minutes as if she was trying to rush us. Once we did order she then ignored our table for over 40 minutes, and at one point we sat for over 15 minutes with no drinks. She only had about 4 other tables, all of which only had 3 maybe 4 people. There were things we needed like sauces and straws which we had to wait over 20 minutes to get because she completely ignored our table. The food was dry and we ordered a side of cheese fries but she put in chili cheese fries so I had to tell the girl running the food, which she had it fixed. At 6:49pm the waitress FINALLY printed the check and brought it to the table to which we noticed that she had me charged for chili cheese fries and not cheese fries, she did not come back to our table for 15 minutes to get payment. When she came back I let her know that the wrong one was charged on the ticket to which she said “Oh, same thing” and then walked away and refused to fix it. We didn’t even eat the food, we put it in boxes and then threw it away later. Once she took my card, she took it back to the computer and left it unattended while she came back to another table to take their order and went back to put their order in and after she proceeded to run my card, she had my card for at least 5-6 minutes which is not acceptable at all. We went in a few minutes after 5pm and it was 7:13 by the time we left! The other waitress who had only been there for 3 days was doing great with her tables, she informed them of the specials they had, our waitress not once ever tried to inform us of any specials they had on anything! This was by far the worst service we have ever received!! We were due to come back home the next morning so I was not able to get anything done about it but if we get to come back to OKI we will NOT be revisiting this establishment!!

We used to enjoy coming here before the fire, and we loved the white pizza that they no longer have. Of course now you have a really clean bathroom, a really open atmosphere and a much better seating arrangement. Stable chairs and tables enable you to sit with people and enjoy company without worrying about the table tipping over or the chairs falling apart. Seriously that's something that is pretty common in this area. They really did wonderful renovations. However, the menu items are not so great. A lot of really thick deep fried foods, a lot of the standard seafood dishes, and the burgers are terrible. They were really burnt I couldn't even finish half of one it was so bad. Coleslaw was bitter, the fries were undercooked so that the center was kind of hard, the jalapeno poppers are nice and spicy maybe a little too spicy for some people, and the deep fried mushrooms are what you're expecting when you get deep fried mushrooms. Thick breading hot mushrooms and good ranch dressing. They don't really have any healthy foods, and they don't have that pizza so my food star grade is low on this one. We went for a karaoke night and a guy that regularly plays there and regularly has karaoke there was unable to get the Wi-Fi working, and the feedback was pretty bad for such a large area. I would suggest you get some grip tape and put it on the floor in a square and let people know stand in that square over there so that you're not feeding back. Obviously you need to stand in one spot and not move in order to do karaoke without feedback. The feedback is a common thing in Oak Island because nobody knows what A noise gate is. ?? having this very important piece of equipment will keep old people from having their hearing aids explode.The host is a friendly guy he's got a good selection of songs and he sings really well when but there's always a feedback problem. This place has been open for a while now, and inside they have pool tables and lots of very happy people having a good time.

I got the flounder and it was full of bones. They got stuck in my throat. My entire meal was also cold. My friend got the wrong food entirely. When I told the waitress my food was bad and returned it uneaten, they just brought me the full bill. This was a horrible experience start to finish.
Pirates Bounty wings are my favorite! Also, the Pirates basket appetizer is amazing. Great daily food and drink specials and staff is very friendly and efficient. Great portions on fried seafood platters. Megan was our server and we received the best service ever yesterday while watching the Carolina game. Will definitely return!

We have visited 2 xs in the last few weeks. We had I'Lean, as she specials on the board, both times. She made us feel right home. We have only tried the Calamari, Fried Mac, and Cheese Steak. Will definitely order these again, but we will be trying the rest of the menu too !!!
Service was trying...Cook is ? sad.Prices keep going up, but don't bring American Express, Visa, MasterCard or Discover, or plan on paying an extra 5%While credit processing is 2% or less..Just saying "Money Laundering"?? Don't support the Local Mafia (terrorists??)and still get ripped off??? Or look for food cooked by someone who cares, at least if the prices are going to be high bake in costs of using credit, or at least get someone who isn't a line cook serving bad bar food? IMHO
