Really disappointed in how hard shrinkflation hit this place. As a few people recently mentioned, prices for what you get are insane.

Check out this size of this $4 scone after tax, not including the tip they ask for. They used to be literally twice the size... they shrunk them a few weeks back. The staff even comented on how small the portions in general have become. You can get better value elsewhere.

Want a sandwich for lunch? 16$. Side of fries? 8$. It's getting crazy.

Creating opportunities how to get to 5 stars

Had 2 orders
1) Chicken sandwich with pasta, had requested with no cheese. They served with cheese, had to go back to the pickup point. They then made it without cheese, went back to the dining table outside, pasta still had cheese cubes in it. The chicken sandwich was also just okay, Hence, overall the 1 star
2) Falefel with Greens. Falafel was served in a bun bread🤷🏻‍♂️their potato roll, no one serves Falafel in a bun bread, hence 1 star here again. The Greens were very good, but lost its 5 stars due to other issues
3) Coffee was okay...nothing great...

The $45 was not worth it at all, too pricey for the portions and its quality

Hope it helps

Surprised by a few things here, especially considering the price for food and drink. We waiting over 40 minutes for sandwiches and salad. Food was served with plastic cutlery and in plastic containers (we were dining in). The chicken was well overcooked and needed to be remade. Also, it was cold. Caesar salad served in a plastic container???
Staff were kind. Nice atmosphere. Overall, not worth my time or money.

Good sandwiches and coffee. We sat outside under an umbrella. Pleasant area with flowers, a water feature and trees.

The place itself is cute, but I ordered a “matcha” that was inedible. I don’t know what they made my drink with but it tasted sour and I knew the moment I got it because it wasn’t even green. As for lunch, I got a grilled cheese and it was underwhelming small.

As a local REALTOR, I spend a lot of time discovering eateries which are hidden away and what their specialties may be. The Belted Goat is one such example of THE BEST scones in the Triangle area. I often stop in to pick up a scone and coffee when I need a pick-me-up. Next time you're in or around Fearrington Village, stop in and try one for yourself. Get there early because they do sell out!

Squandered potential. The patio is a wonderful place to enjoy a meal. The people are nice, helpful and friendly. The menu is tantalizing. The execution.... sub par. Wait times are 20-35 minutes. The food and presentation have been disappointing, especially for the expectation set by the price. It seems whether sitting inside or out, the presentation is "to-go" and the food has scintillating potential, but isn't. For instance, one time I sat inside and waited for a Caesar salad, something simple, for $12. It came in a plastic container and the grated parmesan was stale. They would do better to just have a pick-up-and-go refrigerator. I live in the village and want to support this place. I want it to succeed. But it is clear it is riding the success of its location.
