Was the most exp dinner I have ever had. Food was very intricate and multi faceted and very upscale ingredients and presentation but def not work the money. You have to order off the price fix menu starting at $125 per person. No option to order a al cart. Wish I had reviewed prior to going. Got the cod, the breading overly salty as was the scallop. Was promised my cod would be prepared gluten free it wasn't. Fortunately I am celiac. Lots of fancy ingredients but overall not any kind of wow factor. For 4 people before tip with 2 glasses of wine and 2 beers no dessert bill was $650 before tip.for food that was just ok.

This is an outstanding restaurant, I think the best in the triangle. IMO it beats out the Umstead, where I've eaten a few times. Everything is top notch, A++++++. There are not enough superlatives for the food, service and ambiance. It is very expensive. It's also worth it.

We had an amazing experience at Fearrington House for our anniversary dinner. Menu was personalized with a "Happy Anniversary Mr. and Mrs...." on the front. Fantastic price fix menu with Amuse Bouche to start, first, 2nd and main courses were delicious and prepared perfectly. Ended with a chocolate souffle. Servers were attentive and patient. Atmosphere was wonderful...beautiful place to celebrate and have a truly fine dining experience. We will be back

We loved our dinner at the Fearrington House Inn. It was our first time and we tried the prix fixe menu and everything was delicious. Spectacular Chocolate Souffle!

Went here for the first time to celebrate my 23rd wedding anniversary. Set me back close to $500 but a beautiful experience with exceptional service for a unique and unforgettable evening. Our menu was tailored with our name printed on it. We even received a complimentary gift and high quality champagne. We have lived locally in Chatham County for 4 years and this was my first time experiencing dining at the house. We are frequents of the rest of the property on a regular basis. The food and service have always been exceptional. Do yourself a favor and put this on your local bucket list!

we received three email notices Re: being on time for our table, with a 15min. holding time.. We arrived 10 minutes early and the host did not know what to do with us, AND, the restaurant was empty. one email asked for any allergies, or other problems, and after being seated, found out that the emails are not read, as we told them we did not imbibe, yet the first thing handed to us was the wine list. we were put into an empty room, and seated at a small table in a far corner. No assistance to my wife with her chair, no putting the napkin on your lap. then we found our the room we were in was for the overflow for those that drink, and when they were seated, our quiet reverie was broken. this was touted as fine dining, so we were dressed to the nines, but the drinking folks were dressed in jeans, so much for our fine dining night out. as far as reservations go, we were asked if we had reservations, after 3 emails re: our reservation. and finally, we paid for the artistry of the chef, not so much for the taste of the food. Our waiter, Danial, was very attentive, a plus. the restaurant is a three hour one way drive for us, and was recommended by a colleague, especially for the dessert. which was just a chocolate soup under the pastry..

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner here tonight. Each course wowed us and the service was impeccable. It’s a splurge for a dinner date once you include drinks and tips, etc, but you won’t walk away disappointed. Guys— def wear a jacket. It’s not our usual style but when we were there, it felt right for the setting and experience.

I've been coming here (from the west coast) for almost 20 years. We dine here every time we are in town. This was my favorite meal out of the last 3 times I have dined here in the last year. All of my courses were fantastic and cooked perfectly. The service was impeccable...professional and personable.

Absolutely exceptional and outstanding evening celebrating our anniversary. We stopped at the bar and a drink beforehand . I do not remember the bartenders name, but she made me the best Old Fashion I have ever had (and I let her know). Our table was perfect, in a quiet room, nice ambiance and background music, which was perfect. We chose the Chef's Tasting menu, which consisted of 8 courses, not including the amuse bouche. The food was delicious and perfectly prepared and presented . The wait staff perfectly timed each course. Our main waitress was extremely attentive and we enjoyed some conversation with her . Professional, yet very friendly. Was it an expensive dinner? Yes, but well worth celebrating our anniversary. We will be back next year!

It was my 52 birthday and my crush said she could attend. We followed our waiter's suggestion and got three courses and then we shared a dessert. I asked for the classic wine pairing with each course. My crush got different dishes than I, so not only did we eat good food, but we exchanged dishes and wines. It was a fantastic treat for the senses. The wait staff was knowledgeable and gave "worth it" suggestions. And just when I thought we were done eating, they brought out candies. We got coffee as a last minute impulse buy, and the coffee was delicious. It was a perfect night all around.

One of the most beautiful and opulent dining experiences anywhere. From the time you turn off of 15-501, until you see the stars as you head home, just a terrific feast all the way around.

I have been coming here for 7 yrs for dinner . Jason had served us for that many years .The food is a work of Art the Chef creates with his talent with tastes and beauty ,

Wonderful experience with personalized touches. The menu is phenomenal. I would definitely suggest arriving early and having a hand-crafted cocktail at the bar before dinner!

Although the service was impeccable and the atmosphere serene & enjoyable, I was not impressed with the food. Unless you plan to dissect every aspect of your cuisine like a Michelin Star chef, the food was over complicated without adding much depth, substance or taste. Maybe just too "creative" for my simple palate but I expected to be blown away and I was not. I especially do not recommend this for vegetarians or vegans. It is not a place I would revisit.

What an amazing dining experience. Everything from the pre-dinner cocktails, the wine pairings, the incredible five star service, and of course the food was wonderful. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and the restaurant printed a special menu for him. Every interaction we had with the wait staff, sommelier, was great. The amuse bouche might have been my favorite element of the menu, but the hummus and yogurt was a close second (a surprise to me). The food and beverage director, Troy, stopped by and made the experience even more personalized and special. A very special meal indeed.
