Just wow! My wife and I visited the Fearrington House Inn for our baby moon and had the pleasure of dining at the Fearrington House Restaurant. The prix fixe menu was beautifully crafted, presentation was immaculate, and the taste was top notch. Complements to the chef and all the staff for a memorable experience.

The entire experience at the Fearrington House was simply amazing! Dan was so attentive. The food was savored! I love, love, love this restaurant. The finest in our area!!

Fantastic experience - on par with Michelin starred restaurants in which we've dined in Europe in the past. Every course was excellent, with originality, and interest. The wine parings were also excellent. The sommelier, chef, and waitstaff were the best.

The perfect place to celebrate a special occasion with that special someone! Service is super attentive and the food is divine. Highly recommend.

Lovely service and atmosphere, however the food was simply not great given the price point. Braised pork dish was probably one of the saltiest things I’ve ever eaten. May have been a fluke day. Favorite was the dessert.

We dined last night. The atmosphere wasn't my cup of tea, but I can't hold that against the restaurant--to each their own. The service was a bit rushed -- my wife felt like she never had time to finish her dish before another one showed up. Our main complaint was the food--the first two courses and wine pairings were delicious, but the meal took a sharp turn after that. The main courses we had were both unpleasant to the point that I would probably describe them as foul: the root vegetable pave was so bitter that it was challenging to eat, and the coffee-coated lamb was a strange choice -- it seemed to be literally rolled in coffee grounds, and eating coffee grounds is, well, eating coffee grounds. The dessert cheese plate was very odd -- sort of low-quality (almost stale) servings of run-of-the mill cheeses -- and the merengue dessert just seemed like torched canned marshmallow fluff. The dessert port tasted like a bottom-shelf grocery store port, which I'm not above in the right context, but it was a sharp contrast from the first few wine pairings (which were excellent). My wife felt so sick to her stomach by the end that she asked me move her dessert plate to the other side of the table. We ended our tenth anniversary dinner by faking an emergency with our babysitter (to spare the feelings of our server, who was truly lovely to talk to) and driving home disappointed and queasy. (We talked about getting fast food ice cream to settle our stomachs.) For us, this will always be a fun memory of a strange dinner, if nothing else, but we'd encourage our fellow Research Triangle diners to steer clear--for a special occasion, you deserve a good meal.

We go annually for the afternoon tea and love the selection of delicacies and teas. Reservations are suggested and they serve the tea Thursday- Sunday afternoons. The service is always top notch and it is fun to walk around Fearrington Village after enjoying tea. The price is now $65 per person.

Time to say goodbye to The Fearrington - it's sadly not worth it anymore. Their standards have gradually fallen since COVID - for BOTH the restaurant as well as staying there. Attention to detail, quality and value have been lost. It is no longer an exceptional place to go to and the great bookstore on the premises is hardly a reason to make the trip. Of course it has always been pricey and it absolutely should be IF they were upholding the standards of their history and Relais & Chateau. But even for a special occasion, everything is way, way, WAY overpriced now. The food is just not that good - uneven and not amazing. We have been going to the Fearrington Village for 18 years, but a recent visit for a Birthday High Tea convinced us - it's over for that. We did not have a special experience and no one acknowledged the occasion - even though it was asked on two separate calls for the reservation. Service was forced, disingenuous and not fun. We were presented with an overdone "autumn" theme, repeated flavors, small portions and inconsistent execution. $130 plus a tip so my Wife and I could have some tea, ONE tiny soggy tea sandwich, TWO other poorly made savory items (a tiny pretzel? and a tiny stale corn muffin?), ONE scone, a terrible TWO OUNCE (and that's being generous) portion of a "pumpkin gazpacho", and a few tiny dessert canapes that were just OK?! A terrible shame and unacceptable. Do not settle for what the Fearrington is trying to pass off nowadays. Skip it and create much better memories and traditions elsewhere!

We have dinner at the Fearrington once a year. The staff is spectacular and the food is always some of the best. I really like how they can cater to vegetarians. A tip of a hat to the mixologist. We had some of the best craft drinks, top to bottom on the menu, that we've ever experienced. Nicely done.

Excellent experience for our wedding anniversary! So much attention to detail with courteous, professional staff. The food and wine pairings for the tasting menu were exceptional, and definitely enhanced by the sommelier Ian's thoughtful descriptions. Thank you for a wonderful meal!

Made our anniversary dinner a pleasant experience! The service was amazing and everyone was very pleasant. The food was beyond amazing imagination with presentation and flavor! Would highly recommend for anyone that is looking for a nice intimate dining experience with their significant other! Took the added details to give us a custom printed menu and have all the chef's autograph it for a neat memory piece.

It was a great anniversary dinner. We did have another diner in the room who was exceptionally loud and prone to raucous laughter which made conversation difficult at times. Maybe there used to be a way to inform people discreetly to keep it down so other guests can enjoy the full dining experience. The food was excellent! Thank you
