I got the Golden Milk Latte and my husband got a cafe au lait, both were great!

I love getting coffee or an iced dirty chai.
Their spinach roll was very good.
I have tried their headless horseman and the milky way latte. Both were excellent!

Dietary restrictions: They have almond milk and other substitutions for regular cow's milk.

Unique, delicious drinks! I couldn’t figure out what to order because everything sounded so good. I went with the Taj Mahal and loved it! Best latte I’ve had in Raleigh!

42 & Lawrence coffee shop has such a lovely vibe. What brought me in initially were the unique latte names and flavors. Love Potion is my favorite so far but every time I turn around there’s another flavor I want to try. The owner has clearly added her style and magic touch to the atmosphere inside. There are plants all around and unique sitting arrangements; a bar at the window with unique stools, a bar along the barista’s station, and several tables. There is also outside seating available too. Thank you so much for providing an intriguing and calming atmosphere to enjoy coffee in downtown!

First time visiting, and I’m blown away! From the moment I walked in, the warm service and stunning decor set the tone for an unforgettable experience. I decided to try the Milkyway Latte, and let me just say—it was pure magic in a cup! It’s been ages since I’ve had a coffee drink this delicious. The rich, velvety flavors were perfectly balanced, and every sip was a little taste of heaven.

This spot is truly a hidden gem for coffee enthusiasts. Whether you’re a latte lover or just looking for a cozy place to unwind, this is the place to be. Don’t hesitate—put this on your must-visit list ASAP! ☕

Downtown Raleigh has no shortage of great coffee shops, but 42 is my favorite. They use organic, fair trade coffee and the Lavender Cloud, Headless Horseman (pumpkin and chai vibes), and Gingerbread lattes are a perfect way to start the day. The staff are so friendly and kind, often remembering my regular orders.

I go here regularly and they always provide great service and are really nice. They have a lot of fun drink options and several in house made syrups. Additionally, this business sells alcohol for later in the day. It’s an industrial vibe inside with much of the furnishings being made of metal, and still there is a comfy nook in the corner where people can cozy up to get work done or read a book. There is outdoor seating as well. They have a lane for curbside pickup if you can’t find parking, but there are several parking garages close by. It’s a nice shop with nice people, you should try it out!

Dietary restrictions: I can only speak for gluten, but they have several options for gluten free snacks. Not much in the way of pastries but there are bars and all the coffee is gluten free.

Kid-friendliness: There is a couple that come here with their child every morning to get coffee and a snack before heading to school

Wheelchair accessibility: It is on the ground floor, there are no stairs in the business

This place genuinely cares about the customers coffee experience.

Shout out to Lily the barista for really listening to the customers and making sure they got a drink that fit exactly what they wanted.

The coffee and croissants speak for themselves but I needed to double down on the customer service. This place is an absolute treat.

42 & Lawrence is a very cool vibe in downtown Raleigh. The place itself is small so I can see it being crammed inside when it's busy, however it does have some seating.

I had the lavender cloud. The cloud is a cold foam infused with their homemade lavender syrup. They also make about 4-5 syrups. The drink is like nothing I've had before. It was so good! It gets 5 stars.

The person I was with had their eggnog coffee and a croissant. Both of which he said were very good. In total he'd give those items a 4.5 star review.

Overall, I'm giving it a 4 just bc I want to try another drink to taste the coffee. I'll adjust my review once I try a regular latte. I'm not rating the food bc I didn't eat the food there but I was told it comes from other local bakeries around the area.

Parking: Parking depends on the day and time you go. I got free parking bc I went on the weekend but during regular business hours you have to pay for street parking and for the garage.

Kid-friendliness: I don't know about staying to eat or drink your coffee and food bc of the lack of space.

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, especially if it's not crowded but I'd assume people would be nice and let the person(s) through and or help the person navigate the smaller shop if it was crowded.
