Absolutely loved the Vibes! The owner was super chill and my sister and I had a great time chatting with him while drinking wine. They have nuts and yummy crackers and cheese for purchase as well.

The Hippo Wine Bar & Shop is a gem and one of the favorite places in Raleigh. It is an amazing place to taste new wines and explore the globe. The owner/bartender is genuinely knowledgeable and takes the time to explain reds by region, style, and profile. He does a great job of letting you taste and compare. No matter who is there, it is like hanging out with a bunch of friends. The sommelier, Andre, is absolutely amazing and so knowledgeable about all things wine. He has a knack for finding exactly what you are in the mood for while helping you to discover unique wines from around the globe. He takes the time to understand what you enjoy and guides you through the wine list. It is a good spot to stop in before an event or just hang out. Highly recommend sitting at the bar and letting Andre take you on a tasting journey. Recommend.
