I had little expectations for a cafe in a museum, but I was delightfully surprised. The food was really good and reasonably priced. We will be back. ?

A really good little café for a quick snack while visiting the museum. The biggest plus is just how kind, accommodating, and honest the staff and management are!

Good stuff first - the young man at the register was friendly, efficient and polite. The bread was good. Otherwise, the word “minimal” comes to mind. The panini had a bare tablespoon or so of pesto on two pieces of bread with a couple of yellow tomato slices on top. A few pieces of unidentified greens were scattered on the anemic tomatoes.. We were starving and ate it, of course, but this was so not worth $10 a pop.

Came on a school field trip. The turkey sandwich was decent which is the only reason why it’s not a one star. The smoothie which cost 6.50$ was horrible. The cookies were rock solid and were hard to bite. Brownies tasted like dirt and had no other flavor. Would not come here, food is overpriced and not worth it at all.

This is one of 2 really good cafes at the museum of science in Raleigh. The museum is free and it is great having these cafes on site for lunch so you don't have to leave and interrupt your museum visit. The museum is so big that we took 2 days to visit and explore it so we ate at this cafe on our second day and the "Daily Planet" cafe on our first day. Both places are very good, convenient, reasonable prices, and friendly staffed. We enjoyed trying both places and the Acro cafe has really healthy and kid friendly choices as well. Yes, we would eat here again and will visit the museum again someday.

Visited on a Sunday, seemed to have anything on the menu although I didn't ask. Had the chicken salad wrap. Was pretty good, very large serving with fruit. Price was ok but if I had my entire family of four we could have exceeded $40 on lunch. Food was enough we could have split it. Staff was very friendly. No problem with seating, but it was Sunday. Right next to butterfly exhibit which was pretty cool.

When you go to a museum, aquarium, etc, food prices are going to be a bit higher - the rent, you know! It's the same everywhere so you might as well get used to it or plan to eat before or after. The nice thing about Acro was that the food was really quite appealing and tasty if a bit museum pricey. My sis and I shared a fancy chicken salad wrap and the accompanying fruit cup and it was enough for both of us. My granddaughter had a children's meal of juice, cookie and yummy grilled cheese -- I ate part of the crust so I know about the yummy part! The museum takes hours to tour so having a restaurant on-site was a delight.

I was running late in the Museum when I discovered this cafe. So I went ahead and ordered lunch there, even though museum cafes tend to have lousy food. Not true for the Acro Cafe, though. I ordered a Cuban sandwich, and it was very tasty and filling.

Had lunch while visiting the museum expecting generic bland food. Quite to the contrary. Good choices on the kids menu and the adult food was excellent and reasonably priced. We will be planning to eat there on our next visit to the museum.

The club has some seriously well cooked bacon on it, perfectly done!
