The place is clean ...but... service centered around my guest and food was mixed. I was asked once after my meal arrived but my guest was doted on. When we arrived, we were told to select our own table and make ourselves at home. When we moved toward a booth, the person taking care of that area, told us to take a seat at a table to be served. We had BLTs. My bacon was burned and in tiny broken pieces on the bread. It was defintiely thinly sliced bacon too. My guest's looked a lot better and his bacon was in whole slices. My tomato was hot house with very little flavor. Not a good experience. The place was not busy as we arrived at a later time for lunch.
We love the firemen decor, and the service is always super good. Very attentive staff, and the food is delicious and portions are generous.
Great food! They offer plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options. Our server, Amy M. was very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. All staff that we interacted with were quite friendly. I love that they offer breakfast until they close at 2p. Highly recommend this local treasure.
The wait staff at Barry's is great! Attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. The food is pretty darn good also. I was a little upset when I left there today though. I asked them to make a grilled cheese sandwich, which was not on the menu. No problem for them and they were happy to make my order. My pinch is when the bill came. I was charged $14.25 for a grilled cheeses sandwich! We're talking 2 pieces of white bread, 2-3 slices of American cheese, no sides with it, $14.25! I asked at the register if that was the right price, and the said yes. I'm going to think twice before going back.
The food is DELICIOUS…. My daughter and I visited for the first time, from the time we walked in to the time we left, EVERYONE is so friendly, and welcoming. Not just one waitress assisted us, but all of them did. The restaurant, and restrooms were so very clean and we didn’t have to ask for anything. I highly recommend this restaurant for you, your family, and friends. They meet all dietary needs. This restaurant is one of our favorite spots for breakfast, brunch, or lunch.
This is the best restaurant I have been to for breakfast. We had 12 people in our party, and everyone was amazingly satisfied with their meal.
We were looking for a breakfast place, after the one we usually go was packed. We decided to try Barry’s and the food and service were great. It is a place with a lot of character and care for the community, it is dedicated to Firefighters.

Scottish Waitress… ❤️❤️❤️
I had the most incredible, short encounter with the young lady from Scotland. I would have loved to chat w her for hours. She was the sweetest authentic charming girl.
Yes, the food was good, but she was a true joy to meet. We even wore the same tortoise framed glasses. If you go there, I hope you get the chance to meet her - 😇😉🥳
Hands down, one of the best dining spots around.
This cafe was started by a retired firefighter. He and his coworkers cooked for themselves while on duty so they were very familiar with the foods that folks that enjoy eating at cafes would prefer. My daughter and her friend invited me to join them for breakfast for my first visit to this restaurant. The menu featured just about any kind and combination of American breakfast and lunches imaginable. I ordered the classic egg, bacon, grits and toast. It was delicious with a generous serving of bacon. Others ordered wraps and pancakes and they were pleased as well. Not surprised that the place was crowded for a midmorning breakfast but the service was timely and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean and seating was well arranged, but the most noticable feature was the vastness of firefighter memorabilia on display and on the wall. If you enjoy classic American cafe breakfasts I urge you to try this place. Conveniently located between Raleigh and Cary.
Great spot for breakfast for lunch! With the best gluten free French toast! My boyfriend got the Western Omelette and it’s so delicious! Free coffee/soda refills. The staff is so friendly an go above a beyond!
I love Barry's! The firefighter theme is lovely and the food is great. I love to come here with my gluten free friends because the staff are so careful to avoid contamination. Everyone is always so nice too. I highly recommend Barry's.
Dietary restrictions: I've been here several times with a friend of mine who has celiac. There are gluten free versions of everything on the menu and the staff are very careful to ensure that there is no contamination. Red plates are used to distinguish plates with gluten free food. There is a labeled toaster for the gluten free bread and staff always ask if you have celiac when you order a gluten free meal.
Parking: There's always plenty of parking around Barry's.
