I love Barry's! The firefighter theme is lovely and the food is great. I love to come here with my gluten free friends because the staff are so careful to avoid contamination. Everyone is always so nice too. I highly recommend Barry's.
Dietary restrictions: I've been here several times with a friend of mine who has celiac. There are gluten free versions of everything on the menu and the staff are very careful to ensure that there is no contamination. Red plates are used to distinguish plates with gluten free food. There is a labeled toaster for the gluten free bread and staff always ask if you have celiac when you order a gluten free meal.
Parking: There's always plenty of parking around Barry's.
This cafe does not let you sit for awhile with you laptop to do work, they want you in and out! Nice concept and ambience. OK food but on the expensive side for what it is. Def not a place where you are allowed to linger more than 5 minutes or so after finishing your meal…

We love this place. Been coming for over 30 years since they opened and every single time we get great friendly service, delicious food, and it is a nice comfortable clean place. We do breakfast mostly but lunch is the same! The stories we could tell about things our family has talked about over breakfast at these tables❤️❤️❤️
Excellent breakfast location. Our food was excellent, and the waitress from Scotland was outstanding. Great experience, and I will visit again when we get back to Raleigh.

Amazing restaurant with so many GF choices! My daughter has Celiac and was so excited to get to eat restaurant pancakes. She loved them! Two of us ate regular (not GF) food and it was delicious. Highly recommend the biscuits & gravy :-) We had the best server, Jillian, who took excellent care of us. We were just passing through town but would definitely go out of our way to eat here again.
Dietary restrictions: Excellent gluten free selections. We’re not vegan or vegetarian but did notice many items were marked with a “V” indicating that they were either made that way or could be made to accommodate.
