I am not even from Raleigh but I make the drive from Fayetteville just to eat Bennys pizza. 6$ for a meal u literally can’t beat it. Came today with some friends and the two lovely humans working today were so sweet!!!
First time, the pizza was okay, nothing really stood out. Very affordable, $6 for a drink and giant slice. Workers were a bit standoffish and seemed a little understaffed. I'd like to come back another night since my friends that are regulars said normally it's reliably better.
The pizza is amazing, let's start with the crust. It's a classic New York style, thin and crispy but not burnt, it was amazing. The sauce was great, just the right amount of flavor without it being overbearing. And the cheese is what I was surprised about the most, most cheaper places cheap out on the cheese, not this place. Overall it was wonderful, definitely going here again and was worth the 7 dollars to eat and get a drink.
