I had the opportunity to try out the Butter Chicken and it had such thought put into it. The garlic naan, which comes *with* the butter chicken, is one of the best I have had in Raleigh. Very savory, buttery, high quality flatbread. The garlic flavor is incredible.

The butter chicken is smooth, with so many subtle flavors, none of them are overpowering. Please, try out their new food menu if you are downtown. It’s delicious, for an excellent price.

I have gotten the boba here many times. Very good sweet treat. They have implemented an Indian menu and it does not disappoint. My favorite is the butter chicken with garlic naan. So tasty! The staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this spot for a nice meal!

New restaurant name is Amrut! They still serve tons of boba. We stopped in solely for boba tea. And it was perfect. The staff was friendly and most of the boba options can be made without dairy. We had rose milk tea, mango Lassi, and a natcha blend that were all excellent. [Will update in the future if we try the food]

just went and ordered a strawberry matcha drink with boba and was given strawberry milk TWICE. Sent my boyfriend in to get my order and they gave him simply strawberry milk not a dash of matcha, The second time he came back with basically the same thing just milk and strawberry puree. They told him they added extra.(mind you i consider myself a matcha connoisseur so I know what matcha looks like i drink it everyday) . I’m assuming they are under new management but they need to get it together because this was a waste of money.. don’t waste your time

The boba was the best I’ve ever had! Super friendly employees. The owner-operator is very hands on, which is nice to see.

My husband and I popped in for Boba before Artsplosure and didn’t realize the restaurant had sifted gears but we were happy to go with the flow…and they still have boda! We ended up ordering some food along with our boda and it was delish, we got the samosas chaat and tandoori chicken. The staff were super attentive and very friendly. We can’t wait to come back when the full menu launches! I loved Budacai, but I think we’ll quickly become a fan of Amrut

Came here for lunch with family. Food tastes really good. We have ordered multiple items among those i love lobster tandoori platter and pineapple stake. Also I love the premium whiskey collection especially their “Amrut whiskey “. Overall we have a very good time with good food. Must try for a Indian food lovers in Raleigh.

this place has the weirdest vibe, rebranded to an indian food restaurant which is fine if i wanted indian food but i went there prepared for korean food. they just have half the menu from what i saw online theres still korean food but just some. the service was terrible we had to wait so long we ended up just leaving and we could hear them yelling and arguing in the back. i do not recommend going here. very disappointed.

If i could give this 0 stars i would. I used to work at budacai a few years ago and it was great at that time but now under new ownership the boba is terrible. Even if you order 50% sweetness it’s still entirely too sweet. There was so much syrup in my drink I think diabetes has been fast tracked for my whole blood line for generations. They should have just kept making the boba the way they did. ruined my whole evening. not to mention i was in there for 35 minutes and all i got was boba.

I was really surprised to see an 18.3% “tax” added to my $14 order, bringing my total to $16.56. That’s significantly above the legal sales tax rate for Wake County, which is 7.25%. I double-checked my receipt, and there was no breakdown or explanation for the extra charge. If this is a service fee or surcharge, it should be clearly labeled and not presented as a tax. I’d recommend others check their receipts carefully.

Budacai was probably my favorite restaurant in downtown Raleigh so I am really really sad to see it go. at least for now, Amrut is still serving boba tea, directly from the budacai boba menu.

I got the dosa and it was really good. A good amount of food for the price. It even came with a free side of American fries lol.

I liked budacai because it was super quick, it took a bit longer than I was used to for my food to come out, which is my only complaint. But it seems like they're still getting everything set up in the restaurant so hopefully this improves with time.

The two people who I assumed to be the owners were so nice. I wish them the best in running their new restaurant!!

I loved Budacai, but it's changed names and menu, atmosphere now to Amrut.

ok

i was the only customer in there (they were redecorating so there were people but not customers) and it took them 15 mins to make my ONE drink.... not an exaggeration, paid at 7:49 and received at 8:05. its obvious they changed management, but they clearly have absolutely no idea what theyre doing as there were people coming in and out of the kitchen constantly, even leaving it empty sometimes while we were still waiting. some doordasher guy was waiting to pick up an order, but there was an issue with it and they took forever to resolve that too, because he was obviously there longer than we had been there. i would understand for my drink that if i had ordered a lot of modifications that it would take a long time, but i literally ordered right off the menu. i currently have two jobs in food service so i understand things take time but 15 mins for a drink with no orders in front of me is kind of insane.... place used to be so great but unfortunately the service is just not what it used to be, and i don't know if they will last much longer if they dont figure it out. so come one come all, for your slowass boba drink while you can!!!! (also noticed its a bar but there was a sign saying they were out of alcohol..... meanwhile theres dozens of bottles on the back wall..... what does that even mean) at least its still yummy but not worth it, cant even imagine what it would be like if there was a rush. if that speed was standard for boba places id understand but as you can see on my profile, i am a boba enjoyer and i have never had an order take longer than 5 mins with no other customers in front of me, even if the order had multiple drinks and modifications. lowkey ridiculous
