We have been meeting every week as a small group on a weekly basis for the last 3 years. Our experience has been great!! Great food and environment... their new location is attached to the parking garage with an elevator - have never had an issue with parking. Food is great!!

Attended a conference with this for box lunch. The chicken salad was delicious and everything was fresh. My friend had the ham sandwich with the honey mustard dipping sauce and said it was delish!

Carolina Cafe is the best place to find catering options for large events. This is the 2nd time I used them for an over 600 person lunch. The box lunch options are fabulous! (My favorite is their chicken salad !) They have Vegetarian and Gluten Free options which make guest happy! Each lunch option came with chips and a HUGE cookie in a box. It's an easy way to distribute lunches to a crowd. Ron, Steve and Ivan were so helpful at delivery and gave us a hand setting up for Lunch I recommend Carolina Cafe not just for lunch but for all your catering needs. Give Steve a call, your guests will be quiet happy you chose Carolina Cafe.

I really wanted to try this place but there is no parking… anywhere. Finally found there is a unmarked garage around back that once inside says parking for this place but it was full and claustrophobicly tight

Coffee bar is good, but the food is prison food.

The food is good but they lost the atmosphere by moving. Feels like quality hotel breakfast.

Highly disappointed in the new location. Incredibly inefficient and a pain to get into. Parking does not appear to be designated with the exception of signs how to get to the elevator. If that alone hadn't been such a pain to get in and out of I would have just turned immediately around. Upon waiting for the elevator, I had to find my way thru some lobby to a counter where a very unenthused and unhappy lady took my order. I highly recommend the signature salad as it is a lot for the price you pay, and they (usually) don't skimp on the toppings.. this one did however need to be cut up because the leaves were just huge. What I will not recommend is the 1 note- tomato "chili" with beans. I asked for a cup and without a word ended up charging me almost EIGHT DOLLARS for a bowl. Wooooo!! Ain't NO chili from a counter worth $8 in my world...$22 dollars **cash** ((cuz they charge you MORE for using a card)) for a salad and chili.. I could've gotten a quality steak dinner at Texas Roadhouse with a salad and chili for that price!!So without being told, I have to move over into the next room/area where they call out your order. You stand there awkwardly amongst those eating at their tables waiting to be called. Cringe. All around, big disappointment and won't be returning to this location especially.

The atmosphere of the new location lacks the cozy charm of the previous one. While I understand they had to relocate due to lease issues, the new space feels like a blend between a hotel lobby and a high-end restaurant. However, the use of plastic cutlery and single-use side plates and cups makes it feel rather cheap. I think upgrading to proper utensils and plates would greatly enhance the ambiance and coherence of the restaurant.Regarding the food, it was passable, but the pricing seemed expensive for what it was. Paying over $30 for a waffle, French toast, and two sides of potato casserole felt unreasonable, especially when the waffle tasted like one you can make at a hotel's breakfast buffet. Additionally, the lack of egg options other than scrambled led me to suspect they may be using powdered eggs. While these aspects might be acceptable at a lower price point, they felt mismatched with the upscale atmosphere and prices of the restaurant. The service model is similar to Panera Bread's style of ordering at the counter and cleaning up after oneself. This felt incongruent with the restaurant's new modern atmosphere. However, the staff taking orders are very kind!Overall, I feel the old location’s atmosphere fit their business much better than the new one. I think in order to make the new location work, some changes to the food quality and plates/ utensils are needed.Vegetarian options: There are a few vegetarian options for lunch, but not many. I think adding a few staples like a grilled cheese and tomato soup option (currently grilled cheese is only on the kids menu) or an egg salad sandwich would serve the restaurant well!

Tried the new location in the Village District after it moved. Really underwhelmed and won't be back. Since the other locations have all closed, this was it.1. Atmosphere - 2/5 - Craved finding a cozy coffee shop to work from while enjoying a coffee. So many coffee shops have hard chairs, or really minimalist decor, and are uninviting. Had fond memories of CC. New location is much harder to get to and park - not at all worth the hassle. Atmosphere is midscale franchise hotel restaurant. The old decor was more cozy and inviting. Apparently the goal was to go for upscale... They hit washed out, bland, corporate bar meets Panera. Two comfy high chair tables earned it 2 stars.2. Food & Service - Person who took my order made a too-syrupy hot chocolate, tried a latte - let's not even go there, and gave me the cupcake in a to go box even though it was for dine in. Service management starts with ownership and I have a hard time faulting the folks who work here when there's this attitude on the register...Still on the search for the right cafe!

This is a great restaurant, the food was excellent and there was a great variety of products offered. We went there with friends and the seating is laid out so you can carry on a conversation. I worked as an executive in the restaurant industry and I recognize well operating restaurants and highly recommend Cafe Carolina.
