“Definitely the best dining hall on campus. Great food and all of the staff are so friendly! However, the wait is SO LONG every day. Why is the best dining hall also the smallest? They should move Case to where Fountain is because they need more space.“

“Went there because I happen to explore N.C. State after visiting Pullen Park.

As it was the ONLY dining hall open during Thanksgiving Eve, I decided to pop by and have dinner there.

I was charged $14.08 for dinner as a guest, since I am from Chapel Hill (or Fake Carolina as some might put it).

You do have smaller stations where you take your own food. Yes, unlike the big dining halls in Chapel Hill you TAKE your own food!

Menu was limited, not surprising due to the day I visited. Managed to get pasta, fish and chicken, but ate a lot of fish because it went well with pasta sauce.

There is a small pizza counter and a small mains counter. Then again, this place highly emphasises on self-service with self-service cereal, salad and drinks bar. Portion control is all up to you.

Like any other NCSU dining hall, you cannot escape from Howling Cow, be it the milk, or the soft serve. That’s right! They have SOFT SERVE HOWLING COW ICE CREAM!

Good! That means I can make a milkshake from it. Simplest thing I made was filling 1/3 the cup with vanilla soft serve followed by filling the cup with milk. But if you want to get creative, try filling chocolate soft serve, followed by coffee and whole milk. There, technically coffee milkshake.

There is a small cabinet for those with allergies, but did not try them.

Overall, this is smaller than what I’m used to in Chapel Hill, but it drives a different experience since NCSU has many smaller dining halls instead of two large dining halls over at Chapel Hill.“

“Great place to get a well-balanced meal for the students, faculty, and staff of NC State. As a visitor, the food was very good. They have plenty of food to choose from. The lines for food are a little hectic, but you eventually make it through them.“
