A gem. Portions are appropriate. Food is fresh and flavorful. And the price is right. Doesn't have to be a special occasion for Cafe Luna to step up and treat it like one. Well done.
This is my favorite restaurant in all of downtown Raleigh. The food is fantastic, the service is always amazing and super quick, and the price is unbelievable for the large portions. I have been here the last 3 years in a row for my birthday, and we always have the best time. I recommend this place to anyone!
We arrived 30 minutes early to our reservation, they were able to seat us early. Additionally they were able to make changes to one of the meals to accommodate a member of our party. The chicken parm was amazing and the appetizers are great.
We had a great time celebrating our friends' anniversary. I didn't particularly love the pasta dish I ordered. It came with pear and I didn't expect it to be that sweet. But that is my fault on ordering a new dish I wasn't familiar with. The wine was delicious and our party enjoyed their meals. The ceasar salad was so good! Light and refreshing. Two complaints I really have is that the tiramisu(my favorite dessert), was a little too soggy for me. And as far as noise level, I would have enjoyed more softer Italian music in the background. It was so loud from all the tables that we felt like we had to shout to talk to one another. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and hope to return one day.
The food is not good. The pasta was soaked in oil and lots of water like it wasn't drained. The people are nice but the food was really bad. I went to a private party there that was great. It must have been privately catered. Not going back again.
We went at as a large group of 17. Some food came out hot some not. I would have to go with a smaller.goup to really get the feel for the menu.

Disappointed with this place. It started with the hostess trying to seat us in the worst table in the restaurant (high traffic and next to kitchen). Then they sat us at the second worst one which we asked to move again. Here's the issues:
Ambience 3/5 - really loud and hard to hear when talking. Not a good date place.
Food 3/5 - started with the calamari which was bland. The Chianti was low quality. The Taglierini was just OK. The salmon was dry and overcooked.
Service 3.5 - the second waitress after moving a 2nd time was better but she was probably busy and it showed.
The one good thing was it wasn't expensive.

Emma was a great server. I did. It like what I ordered, orechietti. But that's on me not the restaurant. Amazing prices though.
We love this restaurant and always come back for our special occasions. Great service, great food, wonderful time.
My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary dinner and I read the reviews beforehand so I was very excited to try this place since there were a lot of positive reviews. We reserved a table online and In the “special accommodations” section we mentioned that it was our anniversary. None of the staff acknowledged this. The food was extremely underwhelming. The bread was hard and stale tasting, I ordered the Farfalle Al Salmone and it was just alright but it immediately gave me a stomach ache. My boyfriend ordered the Taglierini Del Golfo which was inedible. We told the waitress about this and the restaurant was kind enough to let him order something else free of charge so he got the lasagna because we thought “how could you mess up lasagna?” They figured out how. I tried it as well and honestly I'd rather eat the frozen lasagna you buy in the grocery store. I hate to have to leave a bad review but our anniversary dinner was ruined and I left feeling like I had just wasted money.

Caffe Luna in Raleigh was absolutely magical for our wedding! Darcey Tinga, our Event Coordinator, made the entire experience unforgettable. From start to finish, she worked with us tirelessly—even from New York—to ensure every single intricate detail, down to the signage and our signature drinks, was executed perfectly. Every moment felt seamless, organized, and truly special. The food and drinks were delicious, and the setting was polished, romantic, and utterly timeless. Thanks to Darcey and the Caffe Luna team, our day was everything we dreamed of and more—I would recommend this venue to any bride looking for a wedding they will cherish for years to come!

We love Caffe Luna!! My husband and I had the pleasure of having our wedding reception here a few weeks ago. Darcey and the team made everything perfect for us. The staff is kind and professional, and made sure we were taken care of the whole evening. Darcey made me feel supported and I knew that my reception was in good hands. The food was delicious and our guests loved each buffet item, as well as the alcohol selections. If you are looking for a place for a dinner out, a party, or a reception, I recommend Caffe Luna 100%.

We recently celebrated my son’s wedding at Caffe Luna and it couldn’t have gone better. The team made suggestions prior for the event to help things run smoothly and the food was fantastic!
