First time dining here. Food was hot and fresh. Skip the fries and get the roasted potatoes.
Military discount is a plus
My husband and I just visited this establishment July 5, 2026. We were not greeted by the host with any greeting at all, not even a smile. We asked asked for a booth and was told they were all reserved yet at least 7 booth were open. Finding this strange, we pulled up the restaurant and proceed to check the booth availability, and to our surprise there were plenty of booths open, which meant we were lied to. While we were there we witness conversation of a couple get seated in booth with no reservation.. further adding to confusion and disappointment of selective service. Who did me and my husband have to be on order to get treated with respect?
Great spot for lunch!! Our server Melissa was amazing & it was great portion sizes. I had the shrimp & grits which were some of the best ive had in a long time
I enjoy this place, with friends and by myself
Had a meal there after a memorial service. Server was excellent despite our large group. Food was delicious.
Host refuse to sit us away from bathroom and kitchen area when half of building was empty on Monday evening after dinner rush. Unsure if this was race issue or what but honestly the place has gone down hill. Hence the high staff turn over and sales slumps.

The staff doesn't listen. The pricing structure includes a 2 dollar fee for pouring a neat drink . I paid for no ice, no mixer, and no special attention. The food was acceptable. The cost was not unreasonable but a pouring fee of 20 percent is unreasonable.

Cape Fear is always on point with food and service! I highly recommend. The scallops, grilled shrimp, shrimp and grits and the fried okra are all tasty! I have been several times and plan to go again soon!

Outstanding foods. Diet Pepsi was tasty as it did not have that watered down taste, the waitress was professional and represented the establishment in the highest level, and the restaurant was very clean with no foul odor present.

10/10!!! Been coming here for years especially Valentine’s Week for the Sea Bass! Cape Fear whoever you have in that kitchen!!! Keep Them and pay them good, this meal was the BEST I’ve had in almost ever! Top 3. I will say I have fell back from coming over the years because the food was definitely mediocre. I know it has to be a new chef because this was a whole other level! I thank the chef for our meal, and Ms Neon for her amazing service, especially on Vday.
