I should have ordered Druken Noodles. The Fried rice with beef and vegetables lacked flavor.

Absolutely one of the best dining experiences in the area. The food at Champa Thai was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. Every dish looked like artwork, and the wok-made dishes were outstanding with rich authentic flavor and perfect balance

I absolutely love the Thai Basil dish. Vibe was chill. We sat at the bar, and although the place was very busy, it was still a nice experience!

We visited Champa on a Tuesday right at 5:00 PM. Since they had just opened for dinner, we were the second table to arrive. The restaurant was empty, very clean, and had a really nice, relaxing atmosphere. The service was friendly and the food came out noticeably fast.

While the ambiance and speed were great, the food itself was a bit of a rollercoaster with flavors and textures:

Miso Soup & Seaweed Salad: The miso soup was a standard, warm way to start the meal. However, it was a bit disappointing—it was too salty, lacked depth of flavor. I think the seaweed salad it could have really used more vegetables like carrots, to give it better balance and texture.

The Appetizers: The dumplings (both the steamed shumai and pan-fried gyoza) were cooked well, but they tasted identical despite having different names and shapes. The Chicken Satay was surprisingly spicy, and the peanut sauce was way too runny (2.5/5). As for the Crab Angels, they looked more like thick, fried empanadas and were left in the fryer a bit too long. The filling was about 90% crab and barely any cream cheese, making it quite dry instead of creamy.

The Sushi: The rolls looked beautiful, but they were drizzled with a very runny, plain mayo-like sauce that offset and masked the actual flavors of the sushi (3.5/5).

Drunken Noodles: I ordered them as spicy as possible, and they definitely delivered on the heat! However, they came out boiling hot temperature-wise, so we had to eat them very slowly.

Overall Experience: I would rate this place a solid 3 out of 5. The food has hits and misses, but considering the Brier Creek area is mostly packed with major chain restaurants, Champa is still a nice independent alternative for a quick, quiet sit-down meal.
