Just plain good tacos. Note that they don't actually take credit cards and need to update their store info.

The best burrito of my life!!!! Food is super affordable but so delicious! My burrito had queso fresco and avocado which made it extra amazing. The tortilla was delicious too. It might look like a plain food truck but theres a reason why locals flock to it.

El Compadre is a truck that holds all your hopes and dreams inside... that is, if your dreams are comprised of freshly made-to-order tacos and tortas, agua fresca, and so on. It's usually outside El Deseo, which is a bar/ pool hall that's frequented by the local Mexican community. I guess the idea is that you can go in, drink, dance and whatnot, and when you get the munchies, you go see the dudes int he mystery machine outside. Well, I have never set foot in El Deseo (though T and I plan to do so just to check it out), but we have driven up the road just to hit up the truck pulled up in front of it. Place your order and the gentlemen inside will proceed to make your food up a la minute. I usually opt for the carnitas tacos, and T for the chorizo tacos, although their tortas are big and quite serious -- perfect if you've got a little buzz going and need an edible to quell it. When you order the tacos, the gentleman will generally ask if you want onions and cilantro. Needless to say, do it. It adds that little crisp bite that takes your taco to the next level. El Compadre tends to open on Friday and weekend nights, usually around 10pm. The hours may not the specific, but trust -- drive by and see if they're open. It'll be well worth it!
