This is one of the best "hidden jewels" of the Raleigh restaurants. It's tucked away in the corner of the Gateway Shopping Center. The staff are friendly and prompt and the food is excellent! The servings exceed expectation and you certainly get what you paid for when getting takeout! Try the beef tips and rice!

Love this place! Great place for quick country lunch. Simple country cooking done exactly the way grandma did it. If you looking for fancy, go somewhere else. If you want good, honest, stick to your ribs meals, this is the place.

Wonderfully simple southern breakfast. The inside may seem a bit dingy, but the food more than makes up for it. I have not tried anything outside of standard breakfast fare so far, but I can't imagine it being bad. The pork tenderloins were actually tender, not cooked to death which is so rare sadly (but not preseasoned, oddly enough). The potatoes are a must as well!

This is a good spot for breakfast. Good food and friendly servers. The grits were extra good. However all of breakfast was quite tasty. This is a local spot that had been there for many years. Good country cooking.

Slow service, looked like most ppl. There were retired and had nowhere to go. Took a long time to cook a very simple meal and there were less than 10 customers in the establishment.
