I have been hearing rave reviews on tik tock and online. So I took my lady to try it out. The risotto balls were just "ok" to me. The Chopped Italian Salad was excellent then the star showed up....the Chicken Parmesan. The Chicken Parm was also excellent . The service was excellent. We had a great time.

I visited Gravy for the first time on a Tuesday evening. Fortunately for us, it wasn't busy. The service and food were impeccable. I had the tagliatelle and it was fantastic! They have a new chef and will be changing the menu in the next few weeks. I plan to return soon to check it out.

Very hard to leave an accurate scoring review for this place. It is super cute the service is amazing and some of the dishes are delicious. However, the dishes that aren’t kinda crush the experience. Saying it as a joke of you vs the girl he tells you not to worry about with my photos. The risotto which is probably one of the most expensive dishes was so bland the scallops didn’t have a good sear on them. The insta pic just makes it look so much better than the tan dish I received. My friend also got the chicken parm and like a quarter of it was BLACK so overcooked which is interesting because I had only been to gravy once previously like 5 years ago because I got the chicken parm and I didn’t like it cause it was overcooked so it took me 5 years to decide to try it again and they had the same issue with the same dish. On a suggestion note the risotto balls are amazing and my other friend gave me a bite of her ravioli dish and the sauce on that was so incredibly delicious. So again hard to give this place an accurate review because if you order the right dish you will absolutely love the experience. Hope my comment helps someone go and know not what to get.

We’ve been here twice and loved it both times! Highly recommend the risotto balls, and chicken parm. Their drinks are great as well, and the staff are very knowledgeable and accommodating when it comes to dietary restrictions.

Food was just okay. We had a great salad but that was the highlight of the meal. Lasagna was okay and the chicken parm was okay, a little over cooked. They did not give us the noodles with the chicken , when I asked the waitress she said they were in there just really thin. I did mention it to another waiter and he did give us 50% off of the chicken parm. We would not go back, how do you forget to put noodle in a pasta dish.

Service was good. Food was bland, calamari had more breading on the plate than calamari.

We went before the symphony on a Friday evening. We had a reservation. We arrived early, but the hostess was gracious and seated us immediately. The wait staff was helpful with a recommendation. The food portions were perfect and the taste exquisite. I highly recommend Gravy. Weekends I would strongly recommend a reservation, especially 6:30 onward.

Already spoke to a manager about our bartender’s behavior, but arguing with a guest is a huge “no no”. When there’s an up charge, you disclose it to the guest. Nobody wants to see an unknown charge on the bill. Lastly, facial hair should NEVER be played with before running somebody’s food. It’s disgusting. 3 total stars only because the manager apologized with sincerity, but food was mediocre. Been here before, and it’s been 10x better.

Really disappointed. I've been a patron of this restaurant for years and recently, the food quality has definitely gone down hill. Ordered the Bolognese, which has always been a favorite, but the pasta was very chewy and sauce was dry to non-existent. The chicken parm was WAY too acidic and mushy. And the chopped salad would easily be recreated at any grocery store salad bar. For what I spent, I would have rather stayed home with generic tomato sauce and boxed pasta. This is my second time, in the last few months, giving this restaurant a second chance...don't think there will be a third.

Waitstaff was meh, went missing for extended periods of time. Food was okay, only parts of the dish were good (ex: mushroom sauce for gnocchi was good, but gnocchi was enormous and gummy). And really long wait for food.

We waited over an hour before asking where our food was. Wait staff was snippy and said there were others who were waiting ahead of us. Manager was unapologetic and explained they were short staffed in the kitchen. Not our problem so we paid for our drinks and left. Have eaten here many times and have never been so disappointed.

An amazing night! The hostess greeted us with a smile and instantly had our table ready to go. Hippie was our server and was very attentive; really brought out the friendly atmosphere. We started with the Calamari, which was the best we've ever had. Perfectly seasoned. The Gnocchi is a must have; the Chicken Parmigiana is a great option as well. Thank you for a great evening! Can't wait to come back.

This is the second time we've been to Gravy (the first was in the Before Time), and it was as wonderful as we remembered. One of the things I like best about Gravy, aside from delicious food, is the leisurely pace of service. Just the right amount of time to enjoy drinks and then appetizers, before the entree was served. If we lived closer to Raleigh this would be our go-to Italian restaurant. Also, kudos to Sam, our waitress, who was attentive and personable.
