Such a fun and nice spot to grab dinner with friends. I loved the ambiance of the entire restaurant from its menu to its setting, and to the outdoor area. Such an underrated and hidden gem if you're on the search for Mexican food. Their drinks in particular were probably the best part, with them offering a whole bunch of unique cocktails.

The staff is friendly but in general the food is just so-so. I expect more flavor when I dine out. I really do want to love this place because it is local with an eclectic atmosphere and they serve GF/Vegan dishes that my son can eat but $100 for 3 adults and two small kids with no appetizers, no dessert and no alcohol is crazy! They don’t have a kids menu and they charge $6 for a tiny bag of chips and salsa. To top it off, you have to pay to park in the back lot!!

Almost every time I go to Raleigh I come here. My favorite is chilaquiles vegan style.
This is my go-to dish, every time.
The atmosphere is friendly, and the location is small but personal. If you get a chance, try them, and you will not be disappointed.

Killer food. However, the music is far too loud.

Really great total experience
Being able to sit outside on a gorgeous day, great food, solid drinks, and a super attentive server

There’s not one thing I’d emphasize that could be improved

I looked forward to trying Gringo A Go Go as I passed by many times. I was very much looking forward to the food and the experience. The music was 50s music and I may be missing something, but didn't seem to go with the asthetic in the dining room but I could see going towards the bathroom maybe why.
The food appeared appetizing and ended up being just okay. I am most disappointed that the beans had absolutely no seasoning and the rice did not either. The chicken was good. It would have been nice to have red onion on the dish. The sauce was good but my personal preference would have been a little more spice.

super cute restaurant and that’s all I can say that’s nice. it is so clearly owned by a gringo. advertising it as classic Mexican fare with vegan alternatives is misleading, there was nothing classic about this. i’m white and this food was too white for me. black beans served as a side at a “Mexican” restaurant without specification should not be sweet and have cinnamon, they should be savory. our waiter asked if we wanted guac too when we ordered chips and salsa without telling us it’s a whole separate appetizer with it’s own price but that’s super minor compared to the food. idk who is keeping this place open. I didn’t like a single thing i had to eat and finished at best a quarter of what I ordered and went home hungry.

4 stars because the music is kitschy. The food, though! Delicious vegan options. They are my go to for vegan Mexican. I think they should add a vegan loaded nachos and my life would forever be changed. Great drinks and seasonal margaritas as well. One vegan taco is about $3.50.

Half the menu is vegan. They have about 10 salsas to choose from. Spanish rice and black beans are vegan.

As the name of this place… the food is really “gringo style”, no really authentic Mexican food.
The first time that I have seen a restaurant charging 2 dollars for hot sauce. (The server did not mention that it has an extra charge)
If you are Latino or Mexican, you will enjoy but it is not “the best”.

I've been here a few times (and done an in-depth review that Google has decided doesn't exist anymore for some reason) and really like it.

They have a lot of gluten free and vegan options, especially as taco fillings. They offer vegan cheese, sour cream, rice and beans also.

The menu is well labeled. I would've taken more pictures of it, but they were on my last review that has now mysteriously disappeared. So I'll have to add more menu pics when I go back again.

Overall, I really like the food and the atmosphere there. Good choices for everyone in your party, no matter the dietary restrictions. So this is a place I'd highly suggest checking out if you're in the area.
