Howling Cow is the perfect mix of education and enjoyment. The ice cream is rich, creamy, and made with milk from cows right on the farm. The Dairy Education Center gives visitors a unique look into how dairy products are made, and the Randleigh Dairy Museum offers interactive exhibits for all ages. The porch with rocking chairs and views of the pastures make it a relaxing stop. It can get busy on weekends, but it’s absolutely worth the visit.
Such a unique North Carolina gem! The ice cream here is incredible—fresh, creamy, and made right on site by NC State. It truly tastes like it came straight from the cow. The setting makes it even better—you can enjoy your cone while looking out at the dairy farm and watching the cows that make it all possible. Great spot for families, students, or anyone who appreciates delicious ice cream with a farm-to-cone experience. A must-visit!
This is the best ice cream I’ve ever had. The ice cream nachos were incredible, and I had cherry ice cream for the first time and it was AMAZING! High quality ingredients, delicious taste, big-sized scoops. My boyfriend loves their milk as well, and is wondering where he could buy it by the gallon.
