It was a hot summer Friday evening. We wanted to get a casual dinner and decided to go to this Raleigh Staple. We were sat on the outside patio which is quite large. They have a more modern southern menu. We had the burrata - sourdough bread with a delicious pickle sauce. Brussel sprouts that are large and tasty. Blue Crab legs which are delicious with an amazing sauce. And finished the meal with buttermilk chicken. All tapas style but huge tapas(at least for 2 people). They have a good selection of cocktails, and can make a good mocktail as well.Good spot, highly recommend.
Service was great. We were taken care of by Carrisa. Food came out incredibly fast, even for tapas, and was delicious. Our favorites were the crab claws, short rib tostadas, and Brussel sprouts. We had the pork belly sliders also which were good but but pictured as we were so hungry. Finally the chicken was deliciously crisp and well seasoned. They make a fantastic dark n stormy too. Desserts were delicious as we got both. We were partial to the bread pudding over the chocolate torte. The torte was fudgier in consistency but was well balanced with the cream. The bread pudding was divine. The restaurant had bar, booth, dining and exterior seating. It was casual but refined and I’m a sucker for a black and white floor. An excellent date night location. 10/10!
We got the fried chicken (fav), brussels (fav), potatoes, and chocolate torte. It was all amazing. Ask for recommendations by staff so you pick the best things on the menu. Much calmer vibe than other DT Raleigh restaurants. Food also came out within what felt like seconds! Great time all around ?
Great service and food! Our waitress Jamie was great. The best things we got were the fried chicken, Brussel sprouts, tostada, and blue crab claws. Great drinks as well.
Loved our dinner here! Service was great and we ended up ordering more than originally planed because the food was so good. I wish I had found this place sooner.
We came in and were seated immediately which was great for a hungry family on the road all day. The server was kind, explained they were family style and to order a few things at once. The food was fast, and delicious and my only regret was not trying the chocolate torte for dessert.
We randomly picked this place for drinks and dessert. AAAamazing bread pudding, great service and the atmosphere inside and out was really really nice, laid back and relaxed. Loved it!
We were hosting a 3-day event in Raleigh and had our networking dinner at Humble Pie and have nothing but great things to say about this venue. We rented the entire place for the evening and were so well taken care of. From dealing with Jim as we were planning the evening, to the staff working that evening - everyone was great to work with!We had a buffet dinner went with their proposed menu. Every single dish was AMAZING.We had a few people with dietary restrictions and they accommodated everyone and had all the dishes labeled so people knew what to avoid, if necessary. If you're looking for a venue for a private event, I definitely recommend Humble Pie.
Callie was super friendly and helpful, and all her recommendations were on point. We had the sourdough, Brussel sprouts (not pictured because we ate them too fast), crispy fingerling potatoes and fried chicken. The portions were all very well sized for the price. I often find myself feeling sour about portion sizing at tapas/'family style' restaurants, but Humble Pie struck the right balance. The cocktails and beer pricing also felt appropriate, and I enjoyed my paloma. We will definitely be returning!
Humble Pie has one of the best outdoor patios in the city: large, expansive, uncrowded, covered and with overhead heaters. Food ranges from very good to excellent. Excellent service. Great, relaxing atmosphere in an attractive urban downtown setting and a bit of sky/sunset views. Convenient parking nearby.

This is my second visit to Humble Pie in a year. I visited earlier in the summer as a visitor to North Carolina and am happy to return now as a resident. The quality of the food is excellent. We ordered Burrata with Sourdough, Mac & Cheese, and the Brussel Sprouts. While I am not usually a fan of smoked cheese, the taste in the Mac & Cheese was not as overbearing as expected and I was happily surprised.Service was attentive and polite, and the atmosphere was definitely hip.Humble Pie is a great place to go for some upscale comfort food when you're in Raleigh!
Vegetarian options: The portions are large enough for vegetarian options that you can eat and be satisfied. I didn't order a vegetarian entree, so I can only speak to what I'd consider sides.
Parking: There are plenty of parking locations around the restaurant. Be prepared to pay upwards of $8 if you're looking to spend 2 hours dining.
Large, open dining room with a nice patio and private room for parties. The menu is short for a small plates kind of restaurant but it still has good variety. The food came out quickly and was really tasty! The textures were spot on from the crunchy fried oysters and crispy brussels to the tender lamb meatballs and creamy burrata. There was a good range of savory vs sweet among the dishes too with a little bit of heat. I recommend checking it out.
Humble Pie is our go to place while in Raleigh. We live 2 blocks away (second home) and the food and service is awesome! Wait staff is always excellent and feel so welcome here. We like to bring our own wine and the corking fee is super. Eating at the bar is a treat as we are recognized and the drinks are always perfect! Highly recommend.
Work holiday meal served here on a Friday night! Would visit again to try other foods. It was only Our crew with no other customers (at least 50 people) Our foods to choose from were on a buffet style - included meatballs, breaded chicken bites, breaded oulysters, roasted brussel sprouts, Mac n cheese, tartare dip and fresh baked pita style chips. For my personal review, the brussel sprouts were my favorite along with the freshly baked pita chips. The staff is amazing to serve while we were admist our celebration. They have a bar to order drinks. It's a cozy feel with room throughout. There is a modern industrial feel inside with heaters overhead outside the covered seating area.
My wife and I had our first date here. The menu has changed, of course, and it's much smaller. But, kudos to them for surviving COVID. Try the blue crab claws with garlic and chile.
