Idle Hour Coffee Roasters Reviews
Three dogs were allowed inside this place while I ate my breakfast. Absolutely disgusting and a health violation. And my coffee was lukewarm at best. No Splenda either.
Got 3 different cheesecakes from there. They looked beautiful but had no taste. Also had to wait about 5 minutes for service. Staff just stood there talking while I was at the counter waiting.
This coffee shop is unique and their creative drinks had me driving 30 mins. to experience again. Don't sleep on their Mistletoe Matcha holiday drink--I had never had matcha, peppermint and white chocolate together before, and it's surprisingly excellent! All of their syrups are homemade, and you can discern the difference. They have creative desserts and also items that are Gluten Free as well. 5 stars!

Idle Hour Coffee Roasters is a peaceful and modern coffee shop located in a beautiful neighborhood, close to everything. The shop has a cool style and brand, making it suitable for business, study, or coffee dates. Their coffee is truly wonderful, with great roast and detailed preparation, and their Americano is highly recommended. Customers also enjoy the delicious pastries, donuts, and the Bahn Mi sandwich. The homemade treats are a real joy, like the raspberry and strawberry cheesecake shaped like a mushroom, which is a work of art. The shop has cute Instagram worthy desserts, though they are very sweet with textures of jell, cake, frosting, chocolate shell, and cream. The hot chai tea is spicy and amazing and the iced Americano is excellent. The atmosphere has a nice ambience, and the staff is friendly. The owner works the espresso machine, and his mom is the baker, adding a personal touch. The matcha latte and regular latte are both delicious. The avocado toast is especially popular.
While the coffee quality remains top-notch, some reviews mention that the desserts are very pretty but mostly for show. Desserts can be low and barely anything on the shelf. Breakfast sandwiches, delivered by an outside vendor and reheated by staff, sometimes do not get heated properly. The shop could use a freshening up, and wheelchair accessibility is limited due to a high threshold. Parking can be tight and a little obnoxious, and seating may be limited, but the overall experience is positive. The shop's location and quality make it a favorite for many, despite some minor concerns.
