We were blown away by Island Café’s food truck. First, it’s spotless, clearly stated as a 100% sanitation operation. The gentleman working was so kind and patient, and he added plantains as a side at no extra charge. Portions are huge, the chicken was fall-apart tender and crazy flavorful, rice & beans were perfect, plantains were outstanding, and the Jamaican beef patties hit the spot. We ordered one of each chicken meal and split them, everything impressed us. If the truck’s coming to your area (or you’re near their store), go. We recommend them 100%. That’s my 2¢ now you decide.

The portion amount was huge at an amazing price.
The food, however, was not what I was expecting. It had way too much sauce. The chicken was boneless. The flavor was missing that Jamaican flavor. The cabbages were salty.
