Kanki Japanese House of Steaks and Sushi

Worst server I've had in years. Waited over an hour at the table before the cook arrived and the server had an attitude.

Our hibachi chef was incredible. The food was amazing. The server was distracted and a little on the slow side with getting drinks etc. overall we had a wonderful Meal and a great time.

We took out granddaughter for the first time so she could experience the fun and excitement and we had a chef who didn't do any of the tricks or even talk to us! He was quiet the entire time! Waste of money.

I had not been in a while, but what has happened to this place and how are that many people still going? The prices have gone way up, but I figure you are paying for a show, so not the end of the world. Our chef did a half hearted onion volcano, and that was it. Not a single word spoken, no tossing, no tricks, attempted an egg crack on the spatula, missed and it fell on an unoiled part of the grill and burned immediately then just gave up on that completely. Even worse, the food was terrible, and that is so hard to do with hibachi. There was no show at the end, spinning of any utensils, shrimp tossing, nada. He didn't oil the grill well and it was running really hot so a lot of stuff cooked oddly and he used an insane amount of salt, and that is from someone who never complains about food being too salty. Maybe he was new but he seemed more just unhappy with his job. If I want barely edible hibachi without a show, I can get it for 1/3 the price on about every corner.

Food and service are average. The charm of this place has worn off over time. Not even the show is fun anymore.

Our table chef was one of the more talented in our visits to Kanki. Always one of our favorite dining experiences.

We returned to where we had our 1st wedding anniversary, 40 years later. It's a great special occasion restaurant. We had good cranberry whisky sours, too. Our table mates were good company, too.

We had a great time! Our hibachi chef was super fun and interactive. Our food was delicious and our 11 year old loved it. We also vibed with the people at our table which was an added bonus. Great way to spend a mid Sunday afternoon!

The food was just average. I've had hibachi just as good in the mall food court. Definitely not impressed.

Always love eating at Kanki - food and a show! My daughter and I both got the Hibachi chicken for lunch and it was great, as always.

Kanki was a recent choice for a family visit, and while it's not a frequent dining spot for us, it's always a pleasant experience when we go. Their lunch is consistently good and generous. Upon arrival, we encountered their policy of seating parties only when everyone is present, which meant a short wait for my husband to park. The front desk staff, however, lacked enthusiasm, coming across as purely transactional. Our server and the hibachi chef, while not overly effusive, were both very kind and highly efficient. They performed their jobs effectively, ensuring timely service and a smooth dining experience. The food itself was, as always, really good and substantial. Overall, we had a positive experience. While a bit more enthusiasm from the staff would be nice, it certainly didn't detract from our visit. I'd happily return to Kanki.

Chef was good. Service was good. Steak was tougher than it should have been. Another patron at our table talked loudly on her cellphone (on speakerphone!) throughout the meal.
