Bought Spanish mackerel this past weekend at the Raleigh Farmer's market and it was -phenomenal-. So fresh, easy to cook, and absolutely delicious. I cannot wait to go back and explore their other options!
(For anyone curious, I used a salt, pepper, paprika and turmeric rub for the fillets, then a chimichurri sauce to finish after a pan fry. The fish held up against, and paired well with, the flavors of the sauce.)

Just the best fresh seafood from long time neighbors. Always a good recommendation from the staff, we got Core Sound oysters. When strolling the State Farmer's Market, go through the shops. Pair your catch with a Chatham Hill wine!

Locals has remained my go-to for fresh oysters raised on the NC coast. I place my order online and pick up at the State Farmers Market. The Locals team are very knowledgeable...
