Midwood Smokehouse Reviews
Had food catered at my God-daughter reception this past weekend. Food was horrible for such a large crowd. Cornbread was raw, collard greens were big and leafy. Broccoli casserole had no taste. Nobody enjoyed the Mac and cheese either. Guests complained all night.
This was my first visit to the Raleigh location on May 28, 2025 with two out of town guests. three diff dishes were ordered..brisket, St. Louis rubbed ribs and burnt ends. The brisket and burnt ends were amazing. The ribs however were dry and tough. The meat certainly did not fall off the bone. I would not recommend the ribs based on this experience.
That was a great last minute surprise.
Combo with cheddarwurst, slaw, puppies and baked beans were all fantastic. Thank you. Looking fwd to next time.

Midwood Smokehouse offers delicious, fall-off-the-bone ribs full of smoke flavor. The restaurant provides quick dinner takeout, perfect for a stroll. Must-try dishes include the mustard pulled chicken, moist brisket, and tasty jalapeño cheddar sausages. Their skillet cornbread with corn pieces is a must-have side.
The brisket and burnt ends are amazing, and the ribs are cooked to the perfect point - separated from the bone with just a slight tug. The pulled pork is moist and delicious. The dining experience is enhanced by the prompt and helpful service, with reasonable prices and generous portions. Customers recommend the Midwood Melt with mac and cheese, as well as the free banana pudding for a birthday treat.
