This restaurant at the North Carolina State fairgrounds has closed for good, according to staff, they were handed an increase on their lease and they did not want to pay it.

Great place to eat during an event at the agricultural building at the fairgrounds. The food is always wonderful and the cakes and pies are fresh. Children love the mural on the back wall. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

I will not recommend this restaurant. They have POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. If I could give no stars I would. I attended the Southern's Women's Show this year and grabbed a quick bite to eat at this restaurant. In the past I enjoyed eating here but this time it was very bad experience, one of the staff members who fixed my plate was so rude. She even swung my roll at me which touched the top of the hot bar. Another customer witnessed and spoke up on my behalf she was shocked to see such rude behavior coming from someone who is suppose to be providing great customer service. When I asked to speak with the manager who runs this place she was in so much in disbelief she went on to say "I can't believe this we never had complaints about her." I told her first time for everything. Maybe having a bad day (or life)? Train your employees better. If they can't provide friendly customer service put them in the back of the kitchen not in the front of the line to face customers.
