The square Jalapeño Roni pizza was flawless. I got the pro-tip from our server to add sesame seeds next time.
But the true stars? THE SALADS. We ordered smalls of the House and the Caesar (which were huge!) and they were are both in the top 10 best salads I’ve had a restaurant, and I love a good salad.
The dressing is perfect and the salads are perfectly dressed. The House salad’s pepperoncinis, salami slices, and olives were spot on.
Days have gone by and I can’t stop thinking about the salads. Order them both! You won’t regret it.

My older brother hooked me up with this pizza place in Downtown Raleigh and this pizza was amazing. Especially the white pizza as with the regular pizza with tomato sauce. I even told the chefs that I really liked the pizza they made. I always love NY Style Pizza. And the back of the pizza box the staff was boxing up for DoorDash and takeouts has a great reference to Donkey Kong from 1981. Definitely coming back on my next downtown Raleigh trip.

We just moved to Raleigh and Oakwood Pizza Box has quickly become a favorite! Their pizzas are delicious with a perfect crust—crispy yet tender—and toppings that are fresh and flavorful. A great local spot we’re excited to visit again!

Best pizza I’ve had in Raleigh BUT I want to warn any other Philadelphians that they do NOT have tomato pie, despite what our servers claims. I was so excited that I thought I found a place that had this Philly classic. Their “tomato pie” is just a pizza without cheese. It was tasty enough, but mostly a good laugh. If you’re getting regular pizza, you’re in good hands though.
