Molly was an incredible host, and max the consumate showrunner. I grew up in this biz, worked on two James beard award winning teams in 2001 and 2003 in nyc with Mario batali and Scott conant separately. This is the real deal. A phenom of a team showcasing the best our industry has to offer. Make sure you tell red and Molly I sent you.
Small but mighty, this restaurant serves rich French food and a wine selection really matches the menu. I liked the presentations of the dishes and the short menu. The place is unpretentious so don't worry about dressing too fancy, but is not cheap so make it special. The service is really superb and the decor in the rooftop really sets it apart.

The smoked trout dip, steak tartare, and watercress vichyssoise are just a few of the flavorful dishes. Save room for the cafe au lait creme brûlée and strawberries and cream dessert. The atmosphere is perfect for a special date on the beautiful and relaxing roof. The onion tart and gnocchi are must-try items. The service is top-notch, with knowledgeable staff providing fast service and delicious meals. The Summer menu recently added the striped bass, which received high praise for being simply amazing. Jolie continues to be the best French restaurant in the Triangle, consistently exceeding expectations with incredible food such as the hanger steak, Normandy butter with bread, and the herb and truffle frites, which some consider among the greatest fries in the world. Guests often enjoy drinks at the bar, Sous Terre, which has a super cool ambiance and perfect drinks. The chef team is enjoyable to watch, and the staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, making each visit a great experience. The rooftop atmosphere and outstanding service ensure a wonderful evening out. Jolie’s exquisite food and hospitality make it a place to return to often.
