Food was delicious, small place and smiling wait staff

This was the worst dining experience I've ever had. Not only was the food terrible, both in taste and quality, the place is filthy and unkept. Very sad too see such a beautiful cuisine in such ruin.

While it doesn't look like much, the food is good! I like the curry the rice and the beef sauté.

If you want to try something different, this is a great choice

I've been a longtime fan of Sawadee. The food is consistently delicious, the serving staff is consistently friendly and quick, and atmosphere is always warm and cozy. Me and my wife have frequent this restaurant for years now. On my birthday our waitress provided me with free homemade coconut ice cream just because! If you're looking for authentic Thai food in a cozy and inviting atmosphere then this is the place for you!

This is the best Thai food I've ever had, and the waiter (restaurant owner?) was so kind and cheerful!

The food is not consistent. The service rivals that of a 3rd world country. I've ordered for Sawasdee Thai on a number of occasions and the staff in general is highly incompetent when it comes to basic delivery instructions. Not very bright!

I really do not like to give bad reviews but unfortunately the food quality, price and service were some of the worst I've ever experienced. The vegetarian eggrolls and pad Thai tofu were pretty much disgusting and I didn't even finish eating them. I was charged for a drink I never received. The cost was $20 for one person which seems expensive even if the food have been really good. I don't know why so many other people have given this place high ratings.

Just called in a pickup order for just the Chicken Pad Thai. Went inside and was amazed at how beautiful the seating was for the sit down guest. The staff is very friendly and polite also. The food is absolutely outstanding for the area. I've been to Thailand 4 times and I can say it compares very well to the real deal. You won't be disappointed.

Consistently authentic food with friendly staff. Wonderful playing of rice in the shape of a heart for my mom and of a fish for my dad. It's in the details.

This is not the best Thai in Raleigh by any means but it is acceptable if you are in the area. It's fairly small inside and there was a slightly odd smell the last time I was there in the dining area. But I got used to it as one often does with odd smells. The smell did not detract from my enjoying the meal. I have eaten at many Thai restaurants and this one is basically mid-level in all categories offering authentic Thai food.

it was my first experience with Thai food, and as a Celiac I have to be gluten-free. They had many different options available, and it was absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend this place in the excellent service to anybody that wanted to dip their toe in the pool of trying Thai food!

Walked in and was overwhelmed with the smell of sour towel. The floors were very dirty. In the right corner at the entrance is a small sofa. It was so dirty and smelled horrible. After being seated, I was afraid to touch the table. It was painted nicely but was not clean. The smell was so bad I had to leave even before ordering. Eeeesh. Maybe they have good food (according to other reviews), but it was so dirty I couldn't get far enough to order.

The food is consistently excellent, and the service is consistently amazing - prompt, attentive and cheerful. Don't let the storefront location put you off - the place has a wonderfully eclectic, funky ambience once you get inside. We have had a great evening every time we've been here.
