I recommend arriving a bit early as there may be a short wait (reservations are not accepted), but there is bar seating available. Upon arrival, you can add your name to the waitlist, which is a nice touch. The restaurant is consistently busy, yet always well-maintained with clean facilities. The servers are knowledgeable about the menu and go the extra mile to ensure a welcoming experience. Whether dining with friends or adults, everyone can find something appetizing on the menu. Here is what we order on our most recent visit: Karage Wings $12 Pork Belly Buns (2) $9 Kids Miso Ramen with Chicken and Eggs Grilled Chicken Rice Bowl $12 The food was delicious overall, and I particularly enjoyed the wings and the pork belly bun. A tip to keep in mind: it's best to finish the wings while you're at the restaurant. If you have any leftovers and take them home, they don't reheat well.“

“We celebrated my birthday at The Oak last night and had an amazing experience. Our server, John, was fantastic, and the Wright Flight cocktail is a must if you love gin. We loved the bone marrow starter, my husband’s ribeye was incredibly tender, and the confit duck tasted like fall on a plate. The Espresso Martini Affogato and peanut butter pie were perfect desserts. They even sent us home with mini banana breads! The Oak is officially my new favorite spot in Raleigh.“

The restaurant was extremely busy with the holiday season kicking off, and the waiting line was fairly long, but thankfully we had a reservation. Even with wait times running around 30–45 minutes, it felt normal for this location and the time of day.

I’m grateful to have been able to enjoy a meal here with my daughters. The staff handled the rush well, the atmosphere was welcoming, and everything we ordered was delicious. I just wanted to leave a positive review to recognize the team for their hard work during such a busy season.

Then once seated, the two of us ordered: three small plates, one large plate, and a dessert all to share. The timing was perfect. Each item came out separately, with an appropriate pause in between. The staff was professional, friendly, and clearly loved what they do. Our servers, Rob and Jordan, were outstanding. Attentive, engaging, and full of personality. They made sure our experience was the best. The food is solid. The spicy chicken sandwich packed a nice kick, and the house pub burger with hearty steak fries hit the spot. We finished with the Guinness mousse, which was supreme. Their Super Bowl party on the horizon and what's sure to be an epic St. Patrick's Day celebration, we'll definitely be back to Hibernian. They gave us a lovely private room, and the servers were very friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding! We had the corned beef and cabbage, shepherds pie, grilled chicken, rice pilaf, mac n cheese. Everyone was very pleased with their meal, topped off with wonderful sticky toffee pudding and cheesecake.
