Village Deli and Grill - Lake Boone Trail

This is one of my top 3 favorite restaurants to go to in Raleigh! Candace is the best! They have such a relaxing atmosphere (both indoors and outdoor patio area), warm staff, and delicious food. For lunch, I'd recommend the Cajun Wild-Caught Shrimp Wrap with fresh fruit, the Island Citrus Chicken Breast Salad, the Southwest Black bean burger, or the Grilled Island - Citrus Chicken Breast Burger with sweet potato fries! For dinner, I'd recommend coming out and picking anything from their menu. You actually can't go wrong with ordering any dish from here! I always have such an enjoyable experience here!

Dined at the Deli recently. We had both burgers and Gyro along with fries. Their service was extremely attentive and from order to food delivery seemed relatively quick. Both the burger and gyro were fresh and warm. I’d give an A+ on burger taste and juiciness. For the gyro, we felt it was a bit overstated. The fries were just so, so and not freshly made. I love a hot, fresh, crispy fry. I choose this location every few months for the service and the really consistent taste of the food. We will be back again.

Food was good but a bit expensive .

Ordered the Philly cheesesteak and came out looking and tasting like a dried roast beef sandwich. Took it back and guy I thought was manager said if I wanted something else as he took the rest of my sandwich. Ordered a different sandwich and went back to my seat. The cashier comes to my table and said I had to pay for a new sandwich. I was like the guy just took the rest of my sandwich. Not going back.

They're fairly good overall. Just wish they were more consistent in getting to-go orders correct and that they'd bring back the soup selections at this location, especially during the colder months.

Great place that I always visit when in the immediate area. It's usually busy, and during peak times the parking is challenging.
Love the sandwich offerings...it's a deli! Discovered that they do have beer recently, which adds value to a great reuben. Though the staff changes over time, they hire very sharp people. Highly recommend this restaurant.

never been so let down by a philly cheesesteak. Thick meat (philly should be thin) with way too little cheese.

Ordered it online - they leave it sitting on the counter in a box with no tin foil. Cheese not melted and steak cold - would recommend Jersey Mike's if looking for a good philly

I happened upon this dining spot while solo-adventuring in Raleigh. When I saw the overall good reviews & perused the menu beforehand, I knew I just had to try the Fried Green Tomato BLT with some sweet potato fries. That sounded like the perfect southern twist of a traditional BLT, & I wasn’t disappointed! The ciabatta bread was perfect to prevent palate scratching (a danger of BLTs), & the pimiento cheese oozed out with each bite. Certainly not the healthiest item on the menu— I could feel my arteries clogging with each morsel— but when in Raleigh, right? It was so filling, I took half of it back to my hotel for breakfast the next day (and it was indeed still tasty even cold). Service was friendly & fast. Only wish I had saved some room for dessert, as the options looked scrumptious.
