Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

This is just my opinion, but unless you’re starving and you don’t want anything else, but this then go for it but the last six times that I’ve been and I’m talking about different locations in different states it was just not good. I hope they get better one day

The service from the waiter to receiving our food was horrible. Waited 35 minutes to be seated then 35 minutes to receive 4 out of 5 of our plates then 7 more minutes for the 5th to come out. Then the four plates were absolutely cold, the butter wouldn't even melt! Had to complain to the manager who was very pleasant and gave us hot food which we had to wait 10 more minutes. By then we were ready to go.

The service was good. The food was less than pleasing to the eye. All the blueberries for the pancakes were clumped in the center. The scrambled eggs were dry and looked like powered eggs rather than real eggs. The sausage patties were covered with numerous black flecks from the grill. Not a pleasing plate to the diner.

Ordered the broccoli & cheddar chicken Wed. Glad i looked at food before leaving takeout. One piece of broccoli! I asked for 2 sides...only ONE side on plate! Mgr made it right but how dare u give me a plate short 1 item & only 1 small broccoli spear and could barely see the cheese that was supposed to be on top!

Have eaten at Cracker Barrel for many years. Always been pleased with food and service. With the menu change doesn’t seem to stand out from other restaurants like they use too. Must have also changed biscuit recipe because they are smaller and taste bland and very heavy, not nice and fluffy as before. Smaller portions and bacon was not as crispy. My wife had blueberry pancakes and looked like the cook just dumped them all into the middle. Service was great, but food was lacking. They also need to do a good house cleaning because some pictures hanging looked like stuff smeared on the glass and dust everywhere. Spoke to assistant manager but she just made poor excuses.

The order was wrong. The country fried steak had white gravy and we sent it back and it came back with white and brown gravy. Apparently they tried to wipe off the white gravy rather than re-cook it, but you could still see it. The sides were wrong. The iced tea was nasty. they did not have any shepherds pie or pot roast. The fried fish was not cooked completely. The Biscuits were not done.

Our meal was cooked well and presented well. The meals were tasty and the service from our waitress was timely and good. Overall a good experience.

Carry out order, received no sauce for the onion pedals and no syrup for the pancakes. Pork chops way over cooked, think and leathery.

The dining area was almost empty and still took over 30 minutes to seat. Tables all around were dirty full of dishes. The waiter did not seem like he knew what to do. Had to send him back like 10 times to get different things some I had to tell over and over. Sawmill gravy was like soup. The Pot roast pot pie gravy was like water and the hash brown covering was so crispy and overdone that it wasn’t edible. The hash brown casserole was nasty according to my wife. The cheesecake Oreo stuffed pancakes were tough, and the filling was watery.. My daughter‘s shrimp apparently was microwaved and was rubbery. some of the staff were other than friendly. Will not recommend the Rocky Mount Cracker Barrel to anyone as a matter of fact, I will dissuade them from going there.

My wife and a friend visited Cracker Barrell in Rocky Mount, NC on Monday, 2-17-2025 and experienced the worst wait and poor quality food they had ever encountered. First they had to wait 20 minutes to be seated, then the food was not ready for an hour and a half! The waitress repeatedly apologized but could do nothing to speed up the service. When the food did arrive the pancakes were cold and had to be sent back. My wife voiced her disappointment to the cashier who said she would speak to the manager, but no one ever came to talk with my wife. The food was not discounted and she paid full price despite all of these issues. Usually this Cracker Barrell provides better service and food, but did not do so with this visit.

My server was great but my meatloaf was burned on one side to a crisp. I don't like to complain but the meatloaf was terrible
Overall l enjoyed my time there was just disappointed after waiting for our food and my meatloaf was burned black on one side 😢

I had a coupon that Cracker Barrel sent me via email. Spend $30 and get $10 off. We spent $29.97. So we added 2 mints at the register to make sure we cleared the $30. One of the managers came because the cashier couldn't get the discount to work. But the manager wasn't any better. So she decided to take items off the bill but doesn't take $10 worth off. She walked away and started helping someone else. As if to say, I took something off you should be happy. No I want my $10 off. But my mother said let it go. The lady was so rude. Then she tells the cashier that they have had so many problems with that coupon. I need Cracker Barrel in Rocky Mount, NC to do better. Your managers need more training. Let me say that our waitress was nice but the manager was horrible. She missed her training day.

The women's bathroom has a smell every time I go it like a female pad odor it's nasty I told them before the manger came in and sprayed air freshener but it's going to take a cleaning of some kind I'm not sure if it isn't the drain in the middle of the floor but it's a bad odor in the women's restroom 🤢🤮
