“It was my first time there, so I wasn't familiar with the menu. I don't eat pork and was very surprised when they didn't have beef sausages or croissants. In any case, the chicken sausages (which I never had before)were quite tasty! Tge place was crowed which means customers are happy. Overall, it was a nice first time vist on my way home to Washington DC. I was satisfied with the Waffle House and plan to sit and get waffles the next time I'm in town! Take care!“
“I’m originally from a small town called Conetoe, but I’ve been living in Washington, DC for over 15 years now. About two weeks ago, I stopped by this Waffle House late at night before getting on the road, and I have to say I was truly satisfied with my experience.
The highlight of my visit was definitely the cook. He was an older African American man with a close cut or possibly a bald head. I can’t quite remember his name, but I won’t forget how perfectly he prepared my food. I like my fried egg burnt (very particular, I know!), and most places get it wrong to the point where I have to send it back but he got it right on the first try. That alone made my day. My grits were good, and my waffle was cooked just right.
I also want to mention the cashier, who I believe is from New York (I unfortunately forgot her name). She had great customer service friendly, professional, and easy to talk to. We had a nice conversation about the differences between living up north versus down south how everything moves faster versus slower. It was a genuine and pleasant interaction.
Overall, this was a great experience, and I will definitely be returning to this Waffle House. I hope the cook sees this because his attention to detail really stood out!“
