“We love Wakefield tavern! The food is always delicious, the service is consistently great, and the atmosphere is always upbeat. We bring our kids so it's definitely family friendly. My reason for only 4 stars is that since we are a larger family, we are often put in the huge corner booth that has missing filling in the cushions, so you are sinking into the wooden base and it's really not comfortable.“

“A friend and I visited here for a quick late dinner. We sat at the bar and had one drink each and dinner. Our bartender was kind, quick and professional. The food was bland but that's to be expected. We would still return to try their other selections.“

“Best steak and cheese on a hoagie roll I've eaten in years! The server was amazing! She even let me use her phone to pull up the menu. My hubby had the hot pastrami, which was also delicious. The reason why I gave it 4, not 5, stars was a mixture of the 2 Louder than necessary men and the price overall. Fries (although served in a cute little basket) and a sandwich for 2 people shouldn't cost $50.“

(The au jus that comes with the sandwich was good but that damn gravy on the mash was ??).Maybe i had too much fun ? “me and a friend went last night, the atmosphere was a very chill and inviting vibe, Luke was our server and he was absolutely fantastic, one of the best servers I’ve ever had, we had great conversation and he was super knowledgeable and spot on with suggestions from the menu, this will be my new hangout spot for sure ! The drinks and food was very good and the staff is very friendly. It’s a great place for date night, friend hangouts or even family gatherings“

“I've been there a couple times now and both times my food was really good. However, both times there was a problem with something that someone in my party ordered. Either they didn't have something or it was made slightly wrong or it came out late. I'm not saying that it's the server's fault or anything. I think it was just made wrong in the back. It's the kind of annoyance that will keep people from giving a five-star review to this place.“
