“This was our 3rd time here for dinner. The first time , 2 years go was exceptional.the food, atmosphere, and service were amazing. Last year we went and there were flies swarming our table. We ordered the osso bucco which is typically veal shank. This came as 2 tiny little pork ankles not veal, and was disappointing in taste. This year, we decided to go at Christmas to see the decorations. We ordered the burrata, and they brought us the shrimp appetizer. We sent it back and the server came back with it & said that we ordered it. Which we did not, instead of a confrontation, we kept it. It was delicious, but not what we ordered. The primo dish , we ordered the ravioli to share, it was very good. For or entree, we ordered the veal chop. It was chewy as if undercooked, soggy, as if it layed in its breadcrumb coating too long. For a $47.00 vealchop, it was a complete disappointment in taste and texture .as we went there specifically for the veal chop. After 3xs, the meals got worse instead of better. Our waiter was excellent, it’s too bad., but the food has gone downhill. We are Italian and are always looking for a great Italian meal. This was not!“

“This restaurant is truly exceptional and unforgettable. Though new, it stands out by using only natural, freshly sourced ingredients and being locally owned. The quality and freshness are evident in every bite, and the rich flavors make each dish memorable. I also enjoyed one of the best lamb mimosas I’ve ever had. The sauce was incredible. Not to mention, the food was evidently hand-crafted from scratch ingredients. Highly recommended for a delightful dining experience.“

Our daughter has been before and wanted us to try it.
We’ve tried a few Pho restaurants in the triangle.
This one is the best! The broth was excellent, the noodles very tasty. All the condiments were already on the table. Large selection. Large servings. We all left full and happy!
The waiter was on the spot and everyone was very friendly. The food fresh and hot.
We had the spring rolls as an appetizer and even split one of their sandwiches just to try afterwards.

“I come here with my mom and grandma every time I come visit. They are always slammed. But they get through the wait quickly it’s typically a 20-45 minute wait. They have great seasonal rotations. I love their French toast, pancakes and the almondnutmuff is delicious. I keep wanting to try their autumn avocado toast it sounds great! The lady at the front who’s worked here for 30 years always remembers my grandma Betty and makes her feel warm and welcome. With my gma’s memory problems it’s very kind and sweet that she remembers her and keeps her in the loop. 1000000/10. Wonderful place“

“From the warm and enthusiastic welcome to the all important “thank you for coming” Over the falls proved to be over the top. Our server was professional and engaging. He took the time to guide our choices through explanations and recommendations. I had the Pesto Parmesan flatbread with added chicken. It was amazing. The presentation was art and the flavors were oh so good. My husband had the Beef of Weckzel, which is one of the most popular. He raved about it. It was served on a warm pretzel roll with horseradish sauce and a warm au jus. My father in law had a pastrami sandwich which he loved, and my sister in law chose the Cobb salad. It also had an artful presentation. \nThe ambiance was inviting and charming. We will definitely return on our next trip to Wake Forest. A fabulous find. Thank you to the staff.“

“Got so say my wife and I love this place . Sunday mother day went to get breakfast for my wife . Notice a lemon cake. Had to get this for the family and they loved the cake . Go get you some of there delish lemon cake.“

“Ventured out from our normal sushi mainstay to try something new, based on something we saw on Instagram. It turned out to be a fantastic choice. Upon arrival, there was a buzz and you got the sense this was anymore traditional restaurant versus those that position themselves as trendy. There was an electricity in the air and the sound of a bell being rung whenever someone leaves a tip at the bar. We ordered the omakase. The chef personally came out to speak with us, explaining the courses, and asking about allergies. Then our journey began. We had six courses of 16 nigiri and 5 rolls the chef created for the evening. Every piece was a feast for the eyes and a treat for the taste buds. You knew it was fresh just by sight, but it all came together when you slid them in your pinhole. All in all, this was an excellent first impression. I will return and explore the menu. My only negative is very personal, because I'm a lazy driver and would prefer a closer location. Cheers!“

“Don't believe the photo that comes up on the tripadvisor page. When I visited in April 2025, they closed at 5:00 Mon-Thurs, not 8:00. Their website has the correct hours. I had the fried chicken lunch special. It came with two sides and two slices of garlic toast. $9.99. The chicken was juicy and the breading had great flavor. The mac and cheese side was creamy and delish. The broccoli and cauliflower side needed salt and pepper. Nice sized portions for the sides. The garlic bread could use more garlic flavoring. Some patrons at my place of employment told me that they come here several times a week for lunch. The staff is very friendly, even towards me, a newcomer. They seemed to know everyone else in the restaurant. Lots of regulars, which is a good sign.“

Any amount of minutes is definitely worth the wait for a table here, especially since the same friendly faces are now running the show. Being as busy as they are, they always take the time to make sure it's a comfortable wait, so have a drink at the bar! The phenomenal Samoa's come out hot and fresh and well complimented by the house made red dipping sauce. I thoroughly enjoy the heavier presence of basil and excellent balance of spices. The PANEER TIKKA MASALA or Chicken Tikka Masala are still the stars of the show in my book. Cheers!“

“So I still recommend, still think the staff are the nicest people and still think their food is some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had but…. Disappointed second time in a row. Last time our request for a dish to be mild was missed and tonight, that same dish was inedible. Tough, strings of meat throughout (see image). There was more spit out than made in to our bellies and this dish isn’t cheap but If it’s a quality issue, I’d rather pay a few bucks more but I’m inclined to think it’s an overcooking issue. Thank goodness for the delicious crab Rangoon and please don’t change those.“

“First, the address on TripAdvisor is not accurate. They have moved. The correct address is on their website. \nEven with the trip downtown and back to the restaurant which as it turned out was only a mile or so from our hotel, it was so worth it. For starters we had the creamy crab soup. It was indeed delicious. I told our server I was tempted to cancel our order and just get another bowl of soup. Fortunately, we didn’t. Our entree was a fried seafood basket consisting of shrimp, oyster’s, and flounder. It came with two sides and we got the hand cut fries and coleslaw. We also ordered a half order of hush puppies that came with honey butter. Everything was delicious. Cooked perfectly. The only thing we didn’t eat all of was the fries because there was a bunch of them. The half order of hush puppies was about a dozen and we brought a few home. They were indeed great. \nHighly recommend this place.“

“We absolutely love The Burger Shop! Growing up in Wake Forest, it’s one of our favorite nostalgic local spots that we love to hit up for lunch! The burgers are the best you’ll get in town! You can dine inside or (our favorite) outside! You HAVE to get an Orangeade to go with your burger, it’s a MUST! Don’t worry about eating too much, you can take a stroll downtown afterwards! Highly, highly recommend!“
