Great experience! I enjoyed speaking with the owner Rick. I was going there to get one bottle of something I wanted to try. I ended up tasting all of the wines and went home with several bottles not just one. Since I don't live near there I'm just going to have them delivered. The wines taste is exactly the new taste I was looking for, thank you :).Update: Still and enjoyable place to visit. No one has been disappointed in the wine I’ve given to them from this winery.

This is a smaller, boutique-type, winery that specialises in wines in the Spanish and Portuguese style. The wines, especially the reds, are excellent and a real standout from the wines of the region. The owner is very knowledgeable and friendly and can talk at length about his wines. The view from the outside patio is really beautiful and the winery is also very dog friendly despite having several (very friendly) cats inside and out. They encourage you to bring a picnic to enjoy with their wines.

Terrible wine. The water to rinse my glass was also terrible. Might be why the wine isn't good. Also not the most sanitary with cats walking all over the place

I have been before. I returned for their Spring event. Live music, local venders but the food truck didn't make it. As always the wine ? was Delicious! ?

This is in response to Crystal S. from a regular patron to Menarick Vineyard. You are not by any means a wine connoisseur. I was sitting there when you came in and when you left. You stated to the owner that you were a connoisseur of wines. Yet you did a tasting out of a plastic cup, which was barely touched. A true connoisseur would have asked for a glass or brought your own. How could you get the true fragrance out of a tiny plastic cup? I think you just came in to try and give the winery a bad review. Maybe on the behalf of some other winery. Rick and Mena are truly wonderful people and we enjoy the experience they have shared with us, in the style of wine from another country. So before you post something you might want to get you facts straight.

5 stars for service and view but we tasted 5 different reds and all were undrinkable. Cloudy and tasted over aged. We have had wine from all over, including other NC vineyards (which we love). Based on other reviews we were very excited to visit this winery on the way to pick up our other club bottles nearby. Rick was great at describing all the options and nice. I was sad to leave without even liking one we tried. I asked him if maybe the bottles had been open a while and he said no, and was disappointed to hear it from me being that he was the winemaker. don't go for the wine.

The two hosts were fantastic but there was something waaaay off with the wine, two of them even had a cloudiness that would indicate some sort of bacterial issue. The property itself was lovely but they need help with the wine making process.
Mena and Rick are my new favorite couple. Gracious, talented and so welcoming to everyone who visits their vineyard!! I'll be back!!
