First the positives - the owner - Rick is very knowledgeable about the wines, kind and friendly. The location is close to Elkin and the tasting room overlooks a very pretty spot.
Next the not so great - the vines are no longer producing grapes due to a cicada infestation so where the vines once grew is now a field. And the wine tasted like it had soured or gone bad. Both the red and white bottles had that same not so great taste. We could not finish either bottle.

The owner is very knowledgeable, and the wine tasting was interesting. He selected dry wines he had made, because I don’t like sweet wines. He took his time and explained each of the dry wines. The Chardonnay and Malbec are distinctive, and I am enjoying each of the two bottles I purchased.
