“We just had an amazing meal here! The raw oysters were fresh and delicious, the homemade seafood sauce to die for. I had shrimp and scallops and my husband had the tuna. Both were artfully prepared and about the best seafood we have had over the last month of touring Florida and Georgia. The oyster bar upstairs, where you can order off the menu in the evenings, has a funky vibe, casual and welcoming. Nice big U shaped bar. Service was great too.”

“Retracing our honeymoon trip to the NC Outer Banks 56 years ago, we stopped in Plymouth, NC, for an evening meal of fresh steamed oysters and shrimp at The Garden Spot. The rustic upstairs setting matched our desire for a casual, relaxed meal. Dennis skillfully shucked our half peck and enabled us to savor every oyster we dipped into the house pepper vinegar. Interrupting her birthday celebration, the restaurant Mama, joined by several family members, honored us with personal greetings. Mama Wally generously shared restaurant and family history, which cemented this evening in our memories. We look forward to a return trip this fall in oyster season.”

“I can't say enough good things about Occano/Scotch Hall! We traveled there from Raleigh, NC. The golf course was exceptional (as were some of the views), the inn was spectacular, the food and drink were on point; but, the best part of all was the people!! Everyone from Chad, Charlene and the rest of their staff served us like kings! We had played another course prior and unfortunately had left a range finder on one of the carts - the staff at Occano made arrangements to go and get the range finder for us! When they heard that one of us were sponsoring a golf tournament for their special needs son, they were quick to want to help out with sponsoring a team. They really catered to our foursome and made us feel like we were a bunch of A-listers - really top notch service... We will be back - don't hesitate, book with them now, you'll be glad you did!”

“Best pizzas ever! My husband's most favorite thing in the world is a big ole thick, large Sicilian MOMMAS pizza.. You will not be disappointed. The restaurant overall is great for anyone to dine in or out, with a good variety of dishes to choose from if your wanting something other than pizza. My son and I love their Chicken Alfredo w/bread,...the best in town. Thanks Giovanni & staff for serving our town with some great food!”

“Stopped in to grab a late lunch. Clean establishment, plenty of room, it smelled like delicious fried chicken as soon as we walked in. The service was very welcoming and the food was great and very reasonably priced. If I didn’t live three hours away it would definitely be a regular lunch spot.”

“Ate breakfast with my 97 year old father-in-law. He had pancakes and crisp delicious bacon while I had the eggs grits and more of the delicious bacon. Seems like new owners since January and they really know how make you feel welcome. My father-in-law is a Marine and came in to a bunch of retired Marines eating breakfast too. You have to try it if you’re in the area.”

“Fabulous local Mexican on a Sunday night on the way home. Fast, authentic. They do charge for any extras, like extra lime or some house hot sauce (very good), but for the good meal better that was fine. Very well priced all around otherwise.”

They have a MAMA DELUCAS as well it’s were they have pizza and pasta and wings and GOODNESS!!!!! ITS OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!! Penne supreme I think!!! Today was different I’ve been there several times before and never noticed the mama delucas until today and I’m sooooo glad i tried it!!!!”
